How can I accurately measure my dog’s paw size?

Please measure the width of the dog when it is standing. Please be sure to measure the width of all four legs. After determining the size, check the size chart for reference and reference weight.

What if the dog doesn’t cooperate with the measurement?

The paw can be soaked, and then the dog’s footprints can be accurately drawn out on dry ground or white paper, and then measured.

Do the shoes stay in place securely while walking?

We walk three miles a day outdoors and the shoes stay in place pretty well as long as the straps are tight.

Can these shoes be adapted to rugged terrain and hiking?

Actually of course they can, we just got back from a hike last week and the dogs and shoes adapted very well to the desired results.

Will the shoes keep dirt and mud out?

Yes, we bought several sets of these dog shoes, and they work well in winter and summer, protecting PAWS from outdoor dirt and sharp rocks, and avoiding frostbite and hot surfaces.

    Size 6
I have tried so many different dog shoes for my furbaby and none have stayed on for long. These are very sturdy, they actually stay on and also good quality. I also love how it comes with instructions to help your dog get used to the shoes!! I very much recommend. My dog is 50 pounds but she’s very small and slim and her legs are pretty small so I got her a size 6 which fit her great. I would say a size 5 would’ve been better but still a very good product.

Great protectiveshoes for my service dog!
My SDiT, Major, *APBT/ GSD/ Great Pyrenees mix* wears shoes anytime we go out in public. With the Florida heat, chemicals and debris on the ground (we once came across a used needle/syringe on the ground!) I like knowing his paws and toe beans are safe from harm! His old shoes were coming apart at the sole so I’d been looking for a new set and found these during Prime Days. They fit perfect and he doesn’t lie down every chance he gets like he did with his old shoes so it seems these are more comfortable for him. Definitely important! These also stay put on his feet better. His old shoes would slide around upside down sometimes after he would lie down in the car then jump out. Not sure why but I was very careful when measuring… I did it 3 or 4 times to make certain I chose the right size this time and it seemed to do the trick!I will definitely buy these again assuming they hold up. They seem very well made. When Black Friday sales hit I’ll buy him a second set so he has them when needed.NOTE: I get asked often how I got him to wear his shoes so well. I’ll answer here as well for those just starting out. I began by just leaving his new shoes out where he could sniff them (supervised) and become familiar. Dogs do that with their noses, not their eyes like humans. After a couple days I got some low value (LVT) and high value (HVT) treats out. (It’s important to exercise your dog before beginning something like this. Play fetch or something to drain his energy) While we’re both calm, I ask him to “come” and “shake” then I placed one shoe on his front paw in my hand. I immediately removed it, praised him and gave LVT. We repeated this every few minutes. Each time is a practice for “come”, “sit”, “shake” and shoe practice. Each time he keeps the shoe on an additional second in my hand. On day 2 we practiced a couple times (always with praise and LVTs). It’s important they associate this with positivity. Eventually, when I feel he’s ready, I fasten the shoe and set his foot down. Allow him to sniff and experience it but not to bite at or any other attempt to remove. I then ask for come, sit, and shake again and remove shoe followed by HVT and lots of happy (but calm) praise. Every couple hours I repeat this with one shoe. Only do this when you and your dog are calm! This takes patience and repetition. I was lucky that Major likes wearing shoes, he associates it with he gets to work and part of working is to go bye-byes! My other two big guys weren’t so accommodating, lol. Keep your dog’s nails trimmed if they’re going to wear shoes. I also make certain his paws are clean and dry before putting shoes on. Good luck and thx for reading!

    Perfect paw protection!
These saved my boys paws!!! My GSD is 14 y.o. and has become weaker in his back legs and started dragging his paws. These have saved him! He got used to them very quickly. They’re great quality and have held up. The tops are all scraped up, but that just reassures me that they’re doing what they’re supposed to and protecting that from happening to his paws. They aren’t very waterproof and tend to soak his paws on a rainy day or if we walk through wet grass. Luckily they’ve held up going through the washer and dryer a few times.Other than that, they’re super easy to put on and take off and do what I got them for.Minus one star for the lack of water resistance.

    it’s good but..
my dog HATES when i put these on. it takes a solid 30min to convince him to do it (i genuinely think that’s his own stubbornness tho, nothing to do with the shoes). i did however listen to some reviews for dog socks and they come in a few days. but after a WEEK of struggling w him in ice cold weather (we JUST moved from socal to the pnw, so we’ve never had to do this before). i can confidently say that after i win our battle 1) the back paws seem to be too small, his toes simply will not fit the end of the bootie. and 2) if u don’t fasten the front paws down enough, they WILL fall off. we have had a few days where they work PERFECT and i LOVE this purchase bc it protects his paws. & it seems to be made of GREAT quality. but the sizing is weird? half the time they crush his poor toes or simply slide off before/during our walks. i’ve honestly resorted to TIGHTLY fastening the front paws and leaving the back ones bare (he likes to step in bushes so i figured the front ones were more at risk anyways). do whatever u will with this information and i hope it helps

Sizing runs large for small dogs / French Bulldogs Size 3 fo front paws and size 2 for rear paws
I followed the sizing instructions exactly, measured my dog’s paws on plain paper and used a ruler. My French Bulldog’s front paws measure about 2.5 inches and his back paws about 2 inches. I also printed the paw measurement guide where you place the paw inside the circles, and it also pointed me to 2.5 inches, which according to the chart meant I should order a size 7.However, after reading reviews from other French Bulldog owners, I got confused because some said they ordered a size 4. I ended up ordering size 4, but it was still too big for my dog. I returned it and ordered smaller sizes because I really need these boots for winter, I don’t want my Frenchie walking on icy sidewalks covered in salt and chemicals.I ordered size 3 and size 2 just in case. Size 3 fits his front paws well, but it’s a little loose on his rear paws. I’m pretty sure size 2 will be perfect for the back paws. My dog weighs 28 pounds.Important note: If you follow the sizing instructions exactly, they seem inaccurate for small dogs, especially French Bulldogs. I strongly recommend ordering 1–2 sizes down, and be aware that you may need different sizes for front and back paws.

Other boots I’ve purchased in the past always came off. These however have been staying on the paws. Now my English Springer Spaniel loves to hunt and run. No issues as yet worn several time .

My dog has a problem with her paw that makes it drag on the floor and it needs to be covered. Despite the problem, she’s very active and loves walking and playing with other dogs. I’ve tried a number of different things but despaired at anything staying on for any length of time. These shoes are brilliant. Despite being very sturdy, they don’t seem to hold her up or cause her any discomfort and they’re easy to put on and stay on really well. They’ve made a big difference to her mobility.

They do not stay on, if you tighten it more it helps but our dogs dew nails were getting rubbed raw and was starting to bleed. For the back feet it was not bad but again they came off easy. They also get wet on the inside. That part was fine with me though

We’ve used many different boots, and so far there are a few obvious features of these that surpass others. First, literally no wear on the soles even after being out at least on 30 walks. Second, the softer material around the foot is not falling apart or softening up after getting wet. Third, velcro seems to be holding up really well – we’ve seen wear with the other brands within the first 5-10 walks. Finally, we love how the boot seems to be created to flex with the foot – that is, one part of the boot flexes with the pad, and another right above it- perhaps resulting in these not slipping during walks at all. We love them!Still need to see how they hold up to a full wash; but currently we’re just rinsing after muddy walks since the softer material doesn’t absorb dirt at all (being waterproof).
