Paws down – best dog shampoo ever!
I’d give this shampoo 100 stars if I could! First I love the lemongrass scent. It’s refreshing especially on my high dander Scottish Terrier. Next, her normally coarse hair came out downy soft. No need to apply any detangling products after bath.Do note that a little shampoo goes a long way! I love how it lathers and then rinses nice and clean.Most importantly, my dog was developing skin bumps on her back, which prompted me to switch shampoos before trotting her off to the vet. Skin bumps are GONE after just the first use. I also like that the product is made in USA!She is so annoyed with me because I can’t keep my hands off her body! Soft, healthy fur, just the way we expect it.Last, thank you to all the people who reviewed this product. You were instrumental in my making this purchase. Easy to rinse shampoo!
4Legger is by far the best shampoo I’ve used on my dogs! It gets them clean and smelling fresh without any heavy perfume scent. It lathers well and rinses out so easily! There is no residue left on their coats that might cause itchiness.

I went on Amazon to find a shampoo for my dog that was both safe and non-toxic, and would make his fur smell good. I stumbled upon this product, and couldn’t be happier! I’ve been using it for a few years now on my dog. He smells so wonderful after I bathe him in this (and the scent lasts for days!). His fur is soft and shiny and fluffy. This shampoo is amazing. Try it. You won’t regret it. Stopped the allergy itching – YAY!
This stuff smells good and lathers easily. It is very, very thin (as described) and pours out way too fast – to the point of being wasteful. Description also says it is concentrated. So, as such, it should advise the user to mix it in another bottle with water to prevent waste and increase the number of uses (shampoos) per bottle. Additionally, the bottle is so slippery once you have the soap on your hands that it is impossible to hold, resulting in dropping the bottle and tipping over in the tub – and wasting product. No bueno! The description advises a little goes a long way which it no doubt does on a small dog. My dog is a 100 pound Old English Sheepdog with lots of hair and seasonal allergies so trying to move lather from his head to his tummy and down all 4 legs is not easily attainable. I used at least 4oz of this trying to cover all his bases! I will have to find a more user friendly dispenser bottle with a small tip so I don’t waste shampoo and can mix water with it…like a plastic ketchup squeeze bottle with a thin middle area to hold easier. I can verify that it eased my dog’s itching considerably which is why I bought it. I have tried several different “medicated” shampoos that were very expensive, very stinky, lots of chemicals and did not provide the end result that the 4-Legger does. I did not mind the smell of this at all and neither did Bentley. So that is the important thing!

Best dog shampoo I have ever used. And great for dog with severe allergies.
If you have a dog with allergies I highly recommend 4-legger dog shampoo. if you want a clean rinsing great dog shampoo that makes a beautiful shiny coat this is awesome.My epileptic dog had terrible allergies. The medication my vet wanted to put him on is very expensive. This saved me a very large amount of money. His coat is beautiful. and after using this, along with Nordic Naturals Omega 3 fish oil he has no more terrible hives. I use the unscented. The Lavender smells great, but to strong for him. But works great on my sons dog. And the best part of all is 4-legger all natural. No garbage in it. You will want to mix it with water. A little goes a long way.I Worth every penny. I highly recommend this.

Doesn’t lather all that much, but smells good
Smells good, doesn’t lather all that great. I had to add other shampoos to my pup to help get a lather. You’ll go through this stuff pretty fast. Helped to cover some lingering skunk smell on my dog. The anti skunk shampoo has some mints in it, but is too stinky itself to use long term. P.s. if your dog gets sprayed by a skunk, you’re gonna smell it for almost 6 months each time the dog gets wet.

Leaves a slight lemongrass scent which is not too strong and just smells fresh and clean. It lathers better than other shampoos I’ve tried. It’s very watery but you don’t need a lot. I will purchase again.

There are lots of shampoos for dogs with claims that they are all natural, plant-based etc. But when you research the actual ingredients, they aren’t always as benign as they first appear. Our dog’s wonky immune system has resulted in allergies and skin issues, so it’s important that we use as few chemicals and medicated products as possible on her. This 4-Legger organic shampoo fits the bill perfectly, and I’ve yet to find another that has such quality ingredients, without unecessary additives. It’s not a cure for our dog’s allergies, it doesn’t claim to be, but it’s cleansing, calming, gentle on our dog’s skin, and leaves her coat in beautiful condition. The gorgeous smell of lemongrass is a bonus. Don’t let the fact it’s not a thick, gloopy shampoo fool you. That’s simply the lack of added “iffy” thickeners. We just add some to warm water in a jug then pour on, lather up and rinse.

I can honestly say this makes a difference to my dogs coat- when i used it, the next day his coat was looking the best it ever has, it was so soft and his skin irritations weren’t as bad! The effects aren’t permanent his itching did come back midway through week two after his wash, but it definitely made a difference in the short term, and anything that helps my poor itch German Shepherd is a plus from me!
