this little comb is awesome! I had been using a furminator on my cat and she hated it bc I had to clean it after each pass and it drags down her fur. she would get restless and start growling at me by the time I was done. this little comb however rakes up the fur quickly and effortlessly. I got just as much loose fur in a fraction of the time. it also worked great on my dogs.

Highly Recommend for Undercoats
This works awesome at removing undercoat. I love that it is compact but also the wood handle is large enough that you can firmly hold it in your whole palm as opposed to other styles of this brush I typically use being much wider and with a very short handle, usually more suited for horses, so I am glad to have found this version. It leaves my animals shinier and makes them feel so much better, they also are far less intimidated or cautious of this over and other grooming tool I have ever used which makes the process that much more enjoyable for everyone. The wood feels nice, overall it has a nice weight and is very sturdy, I have no concerns of the quality, other than the sticker on the front which is wrinkled and not well applied but that is the least of my worries. This was $5.99 when I ordered it and I think that price point is amazing.

Cat Furball/Hairball eliminator – deshed your cat for a lustrous coat; effective but gentler tines
These deshedding brushes are surprisingly effective. You wouldn’t think one roll of tines can make such a difference but they do. It reaches as deep as those other metal and plastic deshedding tools do and grabs that pesky undercoat. Makes my pet’s hair look soft and smooth and desheds so…..much hair.I thought all of these wooden type of deshedding brushes were the same but I was wrong – this is only my 2nd one and my cat really likes this one so much more than the other one.OBSERVATIONS:-Love the wood handle/base. It feels good and solid in your hand. I like this style so much more than the metal and plastic ones. I’ve used brands like Furminator in the past and they are too rough on my pet’s fur and all my dogs and one cat have expressed displeasure by running away or giving me that cease and desist “look.”-I will say this one is about an 1 – 1.5 inches wider than many others I’ve used in the past so if you’ve got a larger dog, things will go quicker. If you have a cat or small pet, order the small one but it still works fine for a cat.-this one is just as effective as my other one BUT it’s more gentle. With the other one my cat would NOT let me brush her tail (I’d have to swipe quickly and then go back to her body to try and trick her) and she’s give me that look and I knew to stop right away. With this one, she’s perfectly fine with me brushing all over her body and tail multiple times – she even rolled onto her back so I could deshed her stomach. WAHOO! The other one also just took out too much hair and it must have been slightly irritating at some point. This desheds and thins her hair out just slightly so her fur coat feels so smooth, lustrous and soft but it doesn’t thin it out excessively (easy to do the 1st time around with most but not this one). The tines are just perfect. I’m going to need extra and store them as I know they all look the same but clearly they are not (must be related to the length, angle or space between the tines)-Eliminate hair balls: You don’t need special food or supplements to eliminate hair balls (at least for me) – you just need to groom them more and make sure to incorporate a deshedding tool like this one. When she 1st began visiting my home, I would hear this horrible wretching and she would vomit up what I have since learned are little hair balls. Since I brush her daily and deshed her fur regularly (most of the time every single day except this time because I waited a week for delivery because we lost our other one) she has completely stopped vomiting up hair balls.So Arya gives this a solid 4 paws up and that’s the most imp’t thing – her comfort. And I should say in closing Arya is not officially my cat, she’s my neighbor’s cat but she spends all day with me (she does go home for food) and I love her so much and just want her to be happy, healthy and furball free.p.s. please don’t run this along their spine. It’s not comfortable for them. Also for this one, I found going backwards a few times and then forward worked best for me
