Best purchase. I am weak and with the handy turn helper, I was able to screw it into clay and through at least a 2 inch tree root. Easy to clean with included brush when I unscrewed it. My dog, Cooper, loves it. I can work in the garden or on my front patio and not worryI highly recommend this!!! ☆☆☆☆☆! It works
We did not buy this product for a dog but as an anchor point outside for my husband to use a battle rope and it worked perfectly. It drilled into the ground easily and so far is not coming loose. I would say it would definitely hold a large dog.

Works very well just have to find a good chain to hold him with, can be seen at night, rust proof, easy to use

Stake slightly too short for a strong pulling dog
The quality of these stakes is really nice except that I feel like they’re a little too short to actually hold down a tie out for a really strong dog. My dog luckily does not pull that that much but if I pull on the stake, even though I have it into the ground as far as I can get it, I’m still able to pull it out. I guess this also depends on what kind of soil you have. Mine is a little sandy, but still I think if the stake was a little bit longer, it would be harder to pull out. I’m going to keep it because like I said for me it works OK.

Used it for my daughters dog a Norwegian Elkhound breed that has a lot of pulling power, and the stakes size and length held its ground.

Too short to stay anchored in ground
I wanted to love this. I need one of these for camping. I have a reactive/anxious 50 lb dog who strong lunges at every dog that walks by our site. I need a stake that can handle when she makes those hard jerky lunges. The base of this is way too short. The one we had previously (for a MUCH smaller dog) had a screw that was significantly longer to keep it well anchored in the ground. While this has a lot of girth it just doesn’t have the length (that’s what she said) so it wouldn’t stay anchored to hold my dog in place which is exactly what it’s SUPPOSED to do. Returned and didn’t even get to use on our camping trip. Don’t recommend at all for medium to large dogs that like to react to things walking by.

Very robust piece of equipment seems very much worth the money right out of the box. Haven’t tested it yet but fairly confident it will stand up to the stress of having a large dog tethered to one end. Definitely gives me peace of mind that my dog will be safe tethered to this and the stake won’t come loose or shear because of the good build quality, compared to other similar products. Specifically, the metal is much thicker.Comes with a nice heavy duty carcabiner that I’d trust to hold my own weight let alone the weight of my dog pulling against it. Only downside is the carcabiner has no locking mechanism.Additionally comes with a storage bag and brush to keep it tidily stored away. I look forward to using this, knowing my dog will be safe to roam while tethered on his lead.
