lots of bandages – and some other supplies – in a sturdy travel case
It’s a bit tough to review this dog first-aid kit since I haven’t (fortunately) had to use it yet. For instance I can’t attest to whether the instant ice pack works or whether the wipes are moist (or dried out).I will say that there’s certainly a lot of stuff in here! Particularly in terms of different types of bandages and wrappings. There are also some tools, like a bug pen, nail clipper and file, and tweezers (the tweezers are plastic and are junk – the tips don’t come together properly). There’s also a collapsible water bowl (handy, will be using). Should there be a splint, maybe? Don’t know if it would fit in the kit, though. Maybe some styptic powder? When considering this product, I have been trying to keep in mind that it’s meant to help your pet until you can get them to an animal hospital where experts can care for them.The hard-sided case seems quite sturdy. On the inside, I wish both sides had a zipper closure, I think items may fall out of the side that has just pockets (no zipper).Overall, this seems like a good product to have on hand if your dog spends a lot of time outdoors (camping, hiking, etc.). I will add to my review if I use more of the kit’s contents.

This is a comprehensive kit — it is fantastic.
As a dog owner I just cannot praise this highly enough. I have a breed of dog (greyhound) that is often described as being made of tissue paper and twigs. As in, they have incredibly thin skin and tend to be injury prone. Mostly small things, but that is why it is so nice to have a kit where you have all the stuff you need to deal with minor wounds on the spot.This kit is great. It has sturdy red canvas type holder, with a strong, well-functioning zipper. I really appreciate that they have a carrying handle on it as well. The inclusions are well thought out, basically everything you would need for bandaging, cleaning, etc, and I love that they even thought of saline for wound cleaning.There is even a tourniquet, so there are items that can help you respond to a serious emergency and manage the situation until you can reach the vet.If you have a dog or cat or other animal, I highly recommend grabbing one of these. Great value.
