These actually do work to relax my dog for approximately 2 to 3 hours, and my dog loves them. These chews are moist and relatively soft, also relatively small, so if you have an older dog and/or a small dog and need something that’s easy to chew, these are a good choice.Just be sure to always screw the lid fully closed in order to keep their moist quality. The jar and lid are wide, so if you have arthritic hands and have difficulty with lids like these, you may want to put the chews inside an airtight cannister or airtight doggie treat jar with a rubber seal in a narrower size that’s easier to grip. A cannister or treat-jar with a lift-up lid (instead of a screw on/off lid) is easiest.Follow the directions carefully for how many chews can be given to your dog in a 24-hour period. The number of chews you can give is based on your dog’s weight.The directions are a bit vague in one regard: According to the label, our dog can have up to six chews – but it doesn’t say if that means six chews all at once, or six chews throughout a 24-hour period. We’ve purchased these several times over the last couple of years and it has NEVER been necessary to give more than three chews at once. That was when we had our last dog; we gave them to her to keep her calm during certain situations like noisy Fourth of July fireworks – these chews, plus keeping her indoors with the air conditioner and the TV on, in a dimly lit room with her favorite blankies and plush toys, kept her calm.Our current dog is of a lighter weight, and she’s not a barker by nature like our last dog. This one only needs two chews at once. I can’t imagine giving her the maximum of six chews – I believe that giving her that many chews might cause diarrhea, since she has a somewhat sensitive gut. Sometimes with products like these, it’s trial and error because no two dogs are alike.Our dog is not generally anxious BUT she does have some separation anxiety. She loves coming in the car with us and she knows when we’re getting ready to go out. She’ll start hovering and shadowing me, following me from room to room, getting under my feet, to let me know she’s right there and she doesn’t want to be left behind. When she behaves like this, she’ll receive two or three of these chews, so I’m confident that she’ll relax in her favorite daybed while I’m out of the house.These are a bit pricey, but, depending on how often you use them, and how many are required to calm your dog, they could last a long time. There are brands that are less expensive, but like everything, you get what you pay for. Sometimes the less expensive brands provide fewer chews per container.Overall, I’m happy with these. My dog loves them (as did the last dog), they do not upset her stomach, and they work for their intended purpose. These are not nutritional supplements. They are intended as an aid for calmness.

Great Calming Effect on Your Puppies
My GM told me to try this on my dogs and oh my.. they do work. It calms my fur babbies down and works well! great value for the money and they smell great! comes in a durable container easy storage and perfectly safe for your pups.. (yes I asked my vet 🙂 I do recomend

Takes the edge off for the nervous pup!
I use these hemp calming chews for my 9 year old french bulldog. She has a bit of separation anxiety at night and likes to howl at 3am for me to come give her loves. I started giving her a few hemp treats before bed and it has helped a bit. It isn’t 100% effective for a howl-free night but I’d say there’s a definite improvement. She loves the chews and gobbles them right up, making it an easy to use product. There is a light meat scent which she goes crazy for! I feel that this is a safe product as long as it is used within the dosing guidelines. She does seem a little bit less motivated to get up in the morning when taking this hemp, but she’s a lazy dog overall. It may be effective for pain also, she doesn’t display any signs of pain and the vet says they can’t believe she’s 9 and looks so healthy. The container the chews come in is durable and good quality so I’ll keep using this brand.

They really work!
Our beagle started being very anxious and overactive at bedtime. He would pace and dig on the furniture for long periods of time. I only give him 11/2 gummies around 9 PM and he is calm and no longer fidgety. These really did the trick.

Hurt more than it helped in my experience
I know there’s a lot of reviews that said it worked for other dogs, but it’s hard for my to believe that’s true because of my experience. I have a 12lb chihuahua Pomeranian mix and he’s 7. I do a lot of painting and he gets very needy and sad whenever I am working on my projects so I thought this would be helpful. I had really high hopes after reading the reviews but I actually feel like this had the opposite effect of what it was advertised to do. It made my baby even more needy and it actually made it more difficult for him to settle down for sleepy time. He usually takes an afternoon nap and he couldn’t even rest for that. Every time someone made the slightest of movements he had to run and see what’s going on, and he doesn’t usually bark (I know, Pom-chis have a yippy reputation but he’s very well behaved and only barks if someone rings the doorbell). In my experience it did more bad than good, since he couldn’t even take his afternoon nap and it made him so agitated you could physically see his temperament negatively changed. Again, this was only my dog’s experience, it might work differently for others but I had to share this because it made my poor baby so agitated. I really wish it would have worked for King Gerald because I have a lot of projects I was trying to get done for Christmas but it literally made my dog start crying for attention, and he never vocally cries out like he has when using this product. He kept pawing and crying for attention, more so than usual. He did love the taste of them, but I won’t let him have anymore because it made him act so different. I tried it 4 days in a row. I tried less and more than the recommendation and none of it worked for him.

Takes away anxiety
My dog was a rescue that gets very nervous and anxious. Used these during Thanksgiving dinner and everyone commented on how good he was being. Product works as it should.
