Both my cats love this puzzle!
We just got this puzzle a few days ago, and the 18 month old cat figured it out right away -on her own. The five-year-old cat is the white cat and he did not figure it out on his own, but when I showed him just to push the little capsand a treat comes out he understood.This puzzle unit is extremely light less than 1 pound. There’s a small slot on each side of the circle for a total of two. So no matter which way they push the little caps a treat will come out for them. The little caps each have a hole-slot in the top and I fit usually three or four, but you could probably fit maybe six or seven in there little treats.The construction is effective and really perfect because when it falls into the middle-center, it’s not hard for them to get it.I definitely like the color. It’s a good value for the money. It’s easy to use. I used it on the bed and I used it on the floor. It’s better off on the floor because it’s very lightweight. It’s better off on a flat surface.Both my cats are addicted to it so the first day I overindulged but now I just have it once a day for them to “puzzle” over it and get a few treats. Otherwise, I have to watch them. The older cat will over eat. It’s a great addition to our household. They look forward to it and our special time to do. The cat treat puzzle is in the evening. With my cats they’ll puzzle over it until every treat is gone so there’s no moderation so that’s why I just do it once a day and it definitely makes treat times makes treat time special. I highly recommend this treat puzzle for cats or dogs. It’s a great value.

Smooth glide. My cat figured it out in minutes and it is going to be the way I feed her every day instead of a slow feeder. She gets bored, so this seems to be good enrichment already.

My Cats’ Favorite Food/Treat Puzzle

Works well, but small portions
I did not realize how big and bulky this would be for the amount to food that it holds. My 2 orange boys figured it out pretty quickly, but the little puzzle pieces hold less than 1/3 their daily portion of food. If I had seen this on a shelf, I wouldn’t have purchased it because of how bulky it is compared to the food it hides. It only gets stars because it works as advertised, but less stars because of how little food they have to work for. Perfect for putting daily portions in the bowl and treats in the puzzle if you can find treats that fit into the holes

Great fun for your cat!
Just got this for my cat today. I put treats in a couple of the holes and she had fun trying to retrieve them. I bought it as more of a toy/treat dispenser than a feeder… my girl don’t need to lose weight. I believe she will enjoy the puzzle of getting the treats out. I can see how this would be great for a chubby cat too, as they have to work for it.

Impossible to fully clean
The elevated model is impossible to fully clean. I’m going to have to throw it away because of this. While the base will separate (with a lot of effort) & the cups can be removed, you cannot separate the top which is actually two pieces. There are multiple holes in this top piece where the cups slide around so you can’t get all the water & food particles out of it. Very disappointed because it would be a good puzzle otherwise.

Fun Enrichment Activity!
My cat loves this enrichment activity. She’s very active and loves using her paws to open and move things, so this was a great addition to her collection of things to do (and to keep her out of trouble). It gives her stimulation by using her senses and is overall a good enrichment activity. The little covers that hold the treats move smoothly around the track and go both directions. It’s easy to clean and rinse, but I’ve only ever cleaned it by hand so I’m not sure if it’s dishwasher safe. Each cover holds about 3-4 “Temptations” (for size comparison) cat treats. The toy is very sturdy even when she tries to nudge it with her nose to tip it over. I would recommend this toy to other cat owners as it has already become one of her favorite and she gets excited when I prep her for another round!

Easily fit 1/4cup of Science diet dental kibble. Comes with a funnel that would be helpful when used with smaller sized food. It wasn’t supper useful for my larger kibble because if I had more than a couple in the funnel they would clog the tip. And it was easy enough for me to put the kibble in myself.It’s easy to clean, there is a small divet in at one part of the inner rim that provides just enough space to pop the cups out. It was medium hard to get the cups off but it will get a bit easier with time and the pets won’t be able to get them off. Over definitely a good puzzle to start your pet’s off with. There is no way to increase the difficulty but I’d still keep it in rotation just to change things up even when the pets move on to harder puzzles

I’m still trying to get my cats interested in using this. They understand it but just can’t be bothered for various reasons. I put in their favorite treats and stopped giving them treats any other time to get them to use it. If I put their kibble in it they don’t care, they have access to kibble at all times due to their odd feeding schedule.So in my case, I do think it is just a lack of motivation of wanting to work for treats and mostly the fault of my own cats being a bit lazy of why it isn’t being used…but that is not the issue here.The other issue is the slope of the dispenser. when they do push it to release the treats, they basically sit right under the opening and it doesn’t slide to the center and they are left thinking nothing was released and I am thinking that is one major thing stopping them from continuing.The funnel makes it hard to fill up, it fits just over it and you’d have to feed the treats into it slowly or it just doesn’t move, I found doing it by hand quicker.Otherwise it is well build and would be pretty stimulating for cats, but I do find the slope issue a bit of a problem for our own treats (Temptations) to drop out for them to see. With a dog I think they would used their tongue or paw to get at it but a cat may just not care.If you cat is one that is still into playing and being stimulated and treat driven, I think it would be fun.

This is a great toy if you’re trying to get your cat to exercise. The plastic toppers are pretty easy to push around and my cat got the hang of it within a couple hours. It definitely gets my cat exercising.

I appreciate that this toy is made from food grade plastic, which is nice since cats eat from it. It’s entertaining and keeps them engaged initially, but they tend to lose interest fairly quickly. Good for short play sessions but not something they’ll stay interested in for long.
