For TINY dogs
The title says it’s ideal for small dogs. It’s really *only* for small dogs. We have a medium-sized border collie, and it’s too small for her. The puzzle aspects don’t quite work. My dog just stuck her tongue under the sliders to get the treats; she didn’t have to move them. The middle spinner portion was difficult to operate, and she mostly just tried to get her tongue in there, too.Pay attention to the posted dimensions – the photoshopped images of the puzzle with dogs are misleading in terms of relative size.It is not the flimsiest thing I’ve ever encountered, but neither does it seem to have much heft and durability to it. If your dog just wants the treats/food, it might be just as likely to muscle through it as try to solve the puzzle.I like the idea of it, but it needs to be larger and sturdier, with longer & wider flip wheels in that center section. As far as pet puzzles go, this one is inexpensive, and it shows.

Excellent puzzle feeder!
I am super impressed with the quality of this game/feeder!! I got this for my cat as an enrichment toy. She did really well with some of the tasks, not all of them, but still I was impressed with what she did do! The design is really neat and interactive. It hides the treats well and allows for your pet to be able to figure out how to get to them. THe size is great and would be good for both cats and dogs to play with.

Kitty doesn’t approve
I got this for my kitty to help add some fun and variety to treat time. When I got the item, the listing was for cats and dogs – now it looks like it has been updated to just for dogs. My chonky boy is very food motivated and has had lots of different puzzle type boards. Unfortunately, this one just makes him angry. He can’t get his paws in to scoop out the treats as his paws don’t fit in the small slider holes. He also has a hard time fitting his face to tongue them out. He has no problem spinning the middle wheels, but hasn’t figured out how to lift the trap door. It is also lightweight, so he just thrashes it around the hardwoods until he if frustrated and walks away unsatisfied.

Cats still can’t solve.
I got this puzzle for my extremely smart cat that loves puzzles. I was disappointed when my cat got frustrated because she just can’t seem to figure this out. All of the previous puzzles we have tried have had multiple ways a pet could solve to get a treat. This puzzle is very limited. You put treats in where the spinning wheel/paddle is. When the pet spins it the treats move to either one side or the other. One side has them end up under one of two buttons that can be slid back and forth to reveal treats. The other side sends treats to one of two hidden compartments that must have the lid lifted to reveal. Treats on this side may also go into a compartment where there is a slide mechanism that when moved slides treats into the two hidden compartments. I think the problem with this puzzle is that it requires too many steps without reward. My cats still can’t figure out to lift the lid on the hidden compartments but they have figured out the rest. Problem is, most of the treats go in those compartments. My golden retriever did figure out how to open the compartments though. The material/construction seems good quality as this didn’t break when it fell from the counter onto the tile floor. It’s fairly light and slides around a bit too easily though. All in all about the same price as other puzzles but I definitely would not get this puzzle as a first puzzle. It’s better suited for those pets that are willing to stick with it to solve it.

I would not get this
I arrived and it looks just like it was described.. the only problem I have and the reason it’s getting one star is because it is only four dogs as stated on the box. So it looks like how they have it on sale. It’s the same thing obviously but the problem is it is not for cats at all and they said it was for cats. My cat cannot use this so it gets one star. And it also gets one star because I do not feel that it is a well-made item. I think that is cheaply made, low quality control. Kind of a disappointment all around.. if you have a dog, maybe it’s for you, but I don’t think it will hold up overtime

Wouldn’t recommend for bigger dogs
This slow feeder toy has a nice idea but not the best execution. The two outer puzzles actually work great and was a nice little challenge for my dog but the issue came with the center puzzle. The idea is the dog paws or moves that center piece, which in turn rotates and brings the treat pieces into holes that lead to those out puzzles. However for a bigger dog, them trying to paw it results in the center piece not really moving. My dog ended up trying to just lick the pieces from that center puzzle up, and when she couldn’t do that anymore, she picked up the little knob from one of the side puzzles in order to lift up the entire puzzle. I ended up moving the treats to just the outer puzzles in order to reduce some of that frustration – and my dog has had experience with these types of slow feeders before. The other thing I wasn’t a fan of was there there were no cleaning instructions whatsoever – no way to know if individual pieces could come out to clean. There were holes at the base which could be drainage holes, but again I have no way of knowing. Overall I’d say if you have a big dog, go with a different type of puzzle toy.

Fantastic buy! Get it!
I have a standard poodle and with their high intelligence they require a good bit of mental stimulation. My dog absolutely loves this puzzle feeder! I thought I would use it occasionally but I’ve fully replaced his food bowl with it. I like that it slows him down with eating too, which is important with all dogs but larger breeds especially since they are more prone to dangerous bloat. This works exactly as it should, is a good size and the color combo is even cute. Literally nothing that I dislike about it. So, so happy I got this! Give it a go!!
