When new pups are born, their mother naturally emits pheromones that give the puppies a sense of security and comfort. These pheromones help dogs bond to each other and their mom. ThunderEase replicates these pheromones for a drug-free, vet-recommended, calming solution that puts an end to unwanted behaviors like destructive chewing and problem barking. ThunderEase is effective in treating: – Fear of loud noises like thunder and fireworks. – Uneasiness in a new home or environment. – Stress when socializing or during training. – Problem barking. – Destructive chewing. – House-soiling (or “uh-ohs” as we like to call them). – Travel anxiety such as shaking, vomiting, panting, agitation, and salivation. – Stress when visiting the vet. – Anxiety when boarding or kenneling. – Stress caused by changes in the environment like new furniture or remodeling.

It seems to help my anxious dog.
Lasts for up to 5 months. I think it has helped my new adoptee calm down.I don’t smell anything. One room has horizontally installed outlets and the product leaks a little where bottle and diffuser connect. The green light is very bright and wish it wasn’t.

Really works
This product was suggested by the vet and has worked well to calm my senior skittish, nervous rescue dog. She is traumatized after living in a cage for 8 years as a breeder mama. This has really helped to calm her. I have the spray but the diffuser works best.

It works but not on every pet…
This is a plug-in diffuser, much like Glade Plug-ins or Febreze unstoppables. Unlike either Glade or Febreze, this diffuser has absolutely no scent whatsoever so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on it around the 30 day mark for replacing.Anxiety:We have two senior dogs, both with anxieties such as separation anxiety, for one. In one dog this product seems to ease this, but he also benefits from a book on Audible when no one is around – go figure! (It has to be an audio book, he just does not care for music!) The other dog resorts to pacing, like a lion, until she exhausts herself, finally collapsing and falling asleep. Additionally, every evening our boy was having anxiety attacks that would come out of nowhere. He’d whine, pant heavily, and pace for hours. This was the reason we decided to give this product a chance well over a year ago; hopeful the pheromones would either reduce or ease his anxieties altogether. Our former Vet would not even entertain the idea that our dog was going through hell every evening, so we have had to find a solution, through trial and error, on our own. This product has definitely reduced those anxiety attacks down to about one per week. A huge and glorious improvement for him, and us.Thunderstorms/Rain:With continued use, it seems as though this might actually be working for my senior boy. He no longer cries, bursts through pet gates and bedroom doors looking for comfort. Instead he quietly retreats to our lower level, resurfacing about 10 minutes later, and curls up on his bed to nap out the worst of it. It’s too soon to tell if this helps our girl, as we’ve only had one thunderstorm since she came to live with us.Fireworks/other loud noises:Last summer, this made little to no difference in how well my jittery guy handled the noise. We haven’t had our old girl long enough to know how she’ll react to this type of racket but will keep these on hand just in case.We recently bought these refills for two reasons: 1) it’s spring and thunderstorms are starting in abundance and 2) our senior girl joined our home. Because she wakes in the middle of the night and begins pacing anywhere between an hour to two hours, we thought (or rather, hoped) this diffuser would be of some benefit to her. It’s been plugged in for the last 60 hours and so far it has not helped with her nervous, middle of the night pacing. It wouldn’t be fair to say this isn’t working for her as I have little history on this formerly, terribly abused dog. Her environment is still new to her and I feel as if she needs more time to recover from being abandoned, neglected, and beaten. She is a sweet, loving girl who has already bonded with us, but her issues seem deep seated. We will give her time, both with her new home and this diffuser, to see if there is any improvement and / or benefit.Overall, as a repeat buyer, I would recommend with a caution to buyers that just because it might not work for you doesn’t mean it’s some sort of scam. Your furry friend might have deeper psychological issues, or it might be something/one in your environment making Fido uneasy.

Worth trying!
Reading reviews, it seems like this product works for some dogs but not others. So we knew when we made the purchase, it was a 50-50 chance. Luckily, for us, it definitely works! Our dog developed anxiety after having a couple surgeries. We have noticed a marked improvement in separation anxiety and she barks much less at door. In fact, we can tell if it’s run out and we have forgot to change it by how she behaves. So while it does not work on all dogs, it might work for your dog. Because it worked for ours. Worth a try.

Didn’t help with anxiety issues
I have a rescue dog that has gone through a lot before I brought her home, so she has some anxiety. I had hoped this would help with that. Unfortunately it didn’t work at all.

Helped our dog
30+ year owner of several different types of rescues over the years. Bought this diffuser along with the collar on the recommendation of our vet to help our 1-2 yr old rescue to settle in. She wasn’t anxious when we were around, but she could get overly excited at times (not completely unusual for her age, just struggled to calm herself back down) and was destroying furniture at certain times of the day when we were away. These two items really seem to have helped her settle in and have been a repeat purchase the last few months. She’s done so well that she just graduated and was certified as an AKC Canine Good Citizen!

Doesn’t work
I ordered two diffusers for my boys who had berm on the calming collar for over a year. I had started them on it because of the fireworks had them shaking every night. By day 3 the fireworks didn’t have them running or hiding and over the next couple months I noticed other good behavior changes. Specifically, the dominating over each other and fighting had stopped. I went to order a back-up of the diffuser refills so as not to run out and thought i should get 2 months extra plus 1 case of breakage. So i decided to order 5. I was prompted for the subscribe and save and it was as if i was ordering the 5 so i set my next order out to January. It ordered me my 5 to be delivered the following week and then had me a savings order the following week which i didn’t realize until it showed it being shipped a week later (i think the day before i received the first 5). After 2 weeks my dogs had attacked each other in a viscous manner that had never been before. Them my Husky began running away through 2 electric fences on the highest setting while people shot of fireworks approaching Christmas. After the 3rd time i unplugged the difussers and put their calming collars back on full-time and ordered 3 more collars. A couple days later I became sick with COVID and so i waited to do the return so i would not infect anyone else. I am 2 days back to feeling healthy and remembered i need top return my 10 refills and they don’t honor returns past 30 days. Now the product is a 30 day product in the first place that makes no sense I’d you sang people to order with the subscribe and save even if the product had worked which was beyond an epic failure. So now not only did i give your other products a try but….
