Works well but has a learning curve
Works well for one cat, but the other one not so much. I believe that the trimmer is a good tool. This is our first battery operated timmer. I really like the light. My wife has better results than I do. It seems that a more gentile touch works better. A friend recommended one with a grinder, so we decided to try it. I have had moderate results but I think with more experience things will get better. The tool is designed as an all-in-one. I found it a bit heavy at first, but over time I have gotten used to it. I am going to keep trying with our finicky cat. I believe that as I gain experience with this trimmer, she will come around. Our cats are not put off with noise.

Great Idea, But My Dogs Disagree!
At first, I thought this was such a cool gadget — a grinder, light, and nail clippers all in one! Unfortunately, my dogs weren’t as impressed. It’s definitely NOT quiet, and even my calm one got spooked. It also takes a while to grind their nails down, so I’m lucky if I manage one nail before they decide they’re not having it. Great concept, but not very practical for nervous pups.

Did not work on my small dog
Hard to use on small dogs. My small dog does not like to get her nails trimmed. I tried to trim her nails with this. It was a fight, and I ended up with both my arms bleeding from her scratching me. You have to place the nail inside the round hole to cut it. Almost impossible to do dew craws. One of them I could not do because it was curved and could not get in the hole. I never got to try the grinder. I thought it came with different-size grinders, but there is only one. Not like other grinders I have, if it works for you, that is great, but it did not for me.

Finally found a grooming tool my anxious dog tolerates
I have a 45-pound female mixed breed rescue who absolutely hates getting her nails done. Traditional clippers stress her out, and past grinders I’ve tried were so loud she’d bolt as soon as I turned them on. This one’s been a game-changer for us over the past month or so.The noise level is genuinely low – it’s more of a soft hum than the aggressive buzzing sound of other grinders I’ve used. My girl still isn’t thrilled about nail time, but she’ll sit through it now without trying to escape, which is huge progress for us.I usually start with the clipper side to take off the bulk of the nail, then switch to the grinder to smooth everything out. The LED lights are actually helpful for seeing the quick, especially on her black nails where it’s normally a guessing game. I’ve avoided any painful over-cuts so far, which keeps the whole experience less traumatic for both of us.The three different port sizes are nice – I use the medium one for her, but I’ve also used the small port on my neighbor’s cat a couple times and it worked fine. Battery life has been solid; I can get through multiple grooming sessions before needing to recharge.The dust cap does catch most of the nail filings, though some still escape. Easy enough to clean up afterward. Build quality feels decent for the price – nothing fancy, but it’s held up well with regular use.If your pet is skittish about grooming, the quiet operation alone makes this worth trying.

Works great to cut/trim pet nails
This is a robust clipper that’s sharp and effective in cutting pet nails. It has lights for the clipper and the grinder section which helps you spot the “pink” in the nails when trimming them.Here’s a few features that impressed me:1) The price is reasonable.2) The clippers are robust. They easily clipped the nails on my black lab.3) The lights provide needed illumination to perform your task as well as adequate light to spot the pink in lighter nails so you don’t cut too much.4) The grinder runs at a high rpm, which help to ensure a quick, effective trim.5) The grinder has a straight in or sideways grinding option, (see picture).6) Large enough for bigger pets.7) The bright lights make them safe to use in areas where lighting may not be that great.8) The charge seems to last a while. I had mine charged to 99% and after using the lights and grinder for a while, it was still at 99%.Overall, a satisfying acquisition that will make pet care a little easier. I would recommend these to family and friends.
