How to test the pet heating pad?
Place a blanket, pillow, or other insulating objects over part of your heating pad. After operating for 30-40 minutes, place your hands under the pad to experience the warmth your pet will enjoy.
What is the difference between a human heating pad and a heated pet mat?
The heated pet mat provides subtle heat, which is the natural body temperature of dogs and cats. A regular human heating pad will be much too warm and could damage a pet’s skin and cause him/her to be afraid of the heat source.
Can I put this heating pad outside on a porch in my pet house?
This product is not intended for outdoor use. It is not designed to output enough heat for the cold outdoor temperatures of winter.
Is the pet warming pad water-resistant?
The pet warming pad inner is water-resistant. It can be wiped clean with a damp cloth. The removable fleece cover is not water-resistant.
Is there an off/on switch?
There is no off/on switch for this pet heating pad. It will start to work when plugged in. It is easy to use and requires no adjustment.

Very sturdy, very warm, worth the price!
I’ve had this for over a year and it’s still going strong. My cats love the heating pad, especially during the colder months! I have a 10 year old cat that enjoys it the most. I will always catch them sleeping on it!The cord is sturdy, just be aware that you cannot have other things connected to the same extension cable it’s connected to, it will short-circuit/fry them.The heat turns on as soon as there is some weight on it, which is great! I like to put a thin blanket on it for my cats for easy washing. 🙂

Our cats (we have two) like the texture of the cover and the size. It works for what they need. We put it under a single layer blanket so it’s not too hot for them and they can lay on it for longer periods of time. I would purchase again.

It works as advertised
This is a really great pet heating pad. It never gets really hot that it would burn my cat. Seems to activate when he lays on it. I like that the heat is continuous and doesn’t require me to restart it as some beds do.its just as advertised. A great pet pad.

Good heat, but it didn’t last
My dog loved this. Everything about its exterior seems durable and good quality. It actually gets warm enough too, unlike others. Unfortunately, it only lasted 11 months. Now it no longer turns on and I have to buy another.Update: The seller contacted me and issued a refund, which I appreciate. I decided to try the other size and increased my rating to reflect their good customer service.

Works for feral cats
So far so good. My local ferals will curl up on it at night or when waiting for a meal. It doesn’t get very warm, but enough to make a difference for the cats.

These are perfect if you are looking to provide a warm place for your pet to rest this winter.I bought 2 of these in the gray color to put inside larger feral cat shelters that didn’t come with heat pads.The pads are warm, not hot, and they have soft removable zippered covers for washing.Best of all, they do not have timer controls, so you can plug them in and not worry about resetting them every 24 hours.The cords are covered, 2 prong plugs.There is no additional padding, just the heating mat and cover.The instructions say that the warmth is felt mainly when the pet lays down on it, but I could feel the gentle warmth right away.There is no unpleasant scent or odor.They arrived within a couple of days, and are accurately described by the seller. I would purchase them again.

heating pad is as stated. soft cover over pad help to soften the pad. Does keep warm enough to make cat comfortable. Great for outside winter homes for Feral cat. Will buy again when needed.

109! TOO HOT FOR CATS!
I used my temperature gun to check this, and it had very uneven heat, ranging from 80 to 109!! This was with the cover on, tested after 10 minutes. That 109 hot spot is much too hot for cats. I will be returning this (and I noticed that this is now marked as a frequently returned item, so I am not the only one who got a bad one). This is unsafe. Be sure to monitor the temperature of your pets’ heating pads. They should not be as hot as human pads!

It seems my cat is very picky but she does not like the blanket. I initially bought it because my cat is always near my laptop and likes to sit on top of it because of the warmth I assumed, so I placed it near my laptop but my cat seems to dislike it and sits around it since the middle of the blanket is the warmest. It might be too warm for my cat or she’s being dramatic as most cats :). I tried to cushion it up by putting a pillowcase on top of it since you can feel the wires so perhaps this is throwing her off.Overall, good product but I think this is just my cat being dramatic as usual.
