Lightweight but sturdy – a good choice for small dog
This is a nifty little 16 foot tangle free leash.I chose it because it is tangle free and small in size.It is 16 feet.My dog is a 7 pound, 13 year old Yorkie-poo. He is not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he is the cutest one.After all these years, he is still scared of leashes and he refuses to even try to learn how to behave on one. The tangle free aspect comes in handy when he winds himself around my legs, flowers in the garden, the front porch posts…you get the picture.The retraction is silent which is wonderful because he is also scared of the sound a leash makes when it is retracted back into the shell.Our boy has the beginning stages of tracheal collapse, so many little pulls or jolts or anything out of the ordinary can start him on a coughing fit. This nice, lightweight, quiet leash has been helpful to keep walks jolly and calming.Also, the shell on this leash is transparent which I find pleasing to the eye.Its small size makes it easy for me to walk our little bonehead. It is sturdy and well made, but not too heavy for me.The one handed brake worked smoothly and easily.Anything that makes it a bit easier to walk our little guy is a winner in my book.I think the price is pretty much standard for what a decent little leash costs.We like it and would recommend it.

Smooth Retraction and Easy One-Hand Control
This leash works really well for everyday walks. The retracting mechanism is smooth, and the one-handed brake is easy to use, even when my dog suddenly pulls. The length gives enough freedom without feeling out of control.The nylon tape feels strong, and I like the transparent shell because you can actually see how much leash is left. It’s lightweight and comfortable to hold.I took off one star only because the handle could be a little more ergonomic, but overall it’s a solid leash.

I REALLY like this retractable leash! The first thing I noticed was how lightweight it is. It’s smaller than I expected, and I love how easy it is to hold. It’s perfect for longer walks because it doesn’t tire out your hand and doesn’t feel bulky. It also has a small hook for a poop bag holder 🙌🏻💩I especially love the 16-foot length! It gives my pup plenty of room to explore when I can let her off-leash. I also appreciate that the leash is a wider, flat tape rather than the thin cord that most retractables use. It feels safer, doesn’t get tangled as easily, and retracts super smoothly.The brake and locking buttons are VERY responsive and can be used with just your thumb. The reflective tape on both sides is a nice touch for evening walks, although I didn’t notice much reflection while walking. I’m hoping it works better for drivers passing by.Best thing about this leash: it has a long reach, retraction is super smooth, it offers a tangle-free swivel, and it’s super lightweight —what more could you ask for! It perfectly balances my pup’s freedom and my convenience!

Great retractable leash
We have 2 dogs, and we had 1 retractable leash and liked it so much we got this and now we have 2! This is lightweight and easy to handle. It says for medium dogs up to 44lbs but mine are a little chunky and weigh a bit more. They do fine but they are also well behaved and not pullers. I have used this on my big dog who likes to be freer than on a shorter leash and this gives her plenty of space to travel ahead. This also works great on my smaller dog who is older and travels slow and the old leash would get under his legs and trip him up. The length is great and can be for short or long. Having a spot to latch the waste bags is also a nice feature. I highly recommend this!

Perfect for smaller dogs
We got the “normal size” retractable leash for our small dog and it was fine until the buttons started sticking and leash got constantly jammed. Our preteen daughter would struggle with the size of it but we didnt think much of that until we got this one which is the perfect size for younger hands to handle and is just overall easier to carry around, store in pockets and purses, and still be just as functional as the larger retractables.So far it has been very sturdy. Our daughter has dropped it (at least) twice and no damage. The flat strap had me originally worried that it would easily get tangled when you retracted it and sometimes it does retract and get twisted upside down BUT has not tangled or become a problem. Fingers crossed that doesn’t change and will update review if it ever does become a problem like we have had with our previous retractable.Its a great price and excellent choice if you got smaller dogs.
