Above average, but the leash for small dogs is very thin and narrow
Appears to be very well made and durable. The function slide works very smoothly and easily to get used to.My only concern is the small size and thickness of the lead leash. Very thin and narrow. The end clasp is very small and thin. This may be a problem for smaller, but heavier dogs. Our dog is only 15 pounds so it isn’t a problem. A small dog 25 pound or more would be a concern for me. Have on had it a few days. So it is a new experience for both our dog and us. We also purchased a harness, as he has a tendency to pull. Using both together there is absolutely no pulling. The hand grip is very comfortable. Much more so than a conventional leash. A large hand would easily fit comfortably in it. When retracting the leash because it is so thin and small, it will often tangle if it isn’t taut.Compared to others we have had in the past, I would say it’s above average in quality and functionality. Only time will tell…

What an AWESOME leash! I was skeptical because I’ve had more expensive retractables that were kind of meh, but this is such a steal! The construction is sturdy without being too bulky, so I feel in control of my dog.My dog is at the top end of the weight limit and it works great with him! He loves to wander and sniff but obviously being off-leash is unsafe so this is a great compromise. I ADORE the reflective material, especially now that it’s gotten so dark at his usual walking time in winter.Wonderful leash, the best I’ve ever used.I saw a poor rating because the dog chewed through it, but uh, your dog shouldn’t chew their leash in the first place.
