Checkups Dental Dog Treats were recommended by our vet as they are one of the few chews accepted by the Veterinary Oral Health Council. Our Lab is 8 and she has perfect teeth – no tartar or plaque, and she hasn’t required a professional cleaning. We give one chew about every 7 to 10 days. She knows the Checkups as her “special treat” and goes crazy if we ask whether she wants one. She’ll run to the closet where only these chews are kept and prance until we hand one over. I don’t know what I’ll do if they ever stop making these. Highly recommend.

Been getting these for over 10 years and all 4 dogs have loved them. It is one of the highlights of their days to get them. We do call them crack/drugs as they seem to have an extraordinary addictive quality. They also seem to cause one’s dog to relax after in a way that no other treat does. Once you start your dog on them, make sure you always have them in stock 🙂

My dog Prances and Woof’s each time we bring out the ‘Bones’
They keep his teeth clean, his breath smelling nice, but they are high in calories. We couldn’t understand why he was gaining weight (he’s 4 1/2). Nothing had changed, but his age. We discovered one bone a day is too many calories so we cut back to one bone a week (cut the bone in half and give it to him Sunday’s and Thursday’s).

Bought for convenience
So I needed another bag of these dental chews and some other dog supplies but I didn’t feel up to leaving the house. Normally I don’t pay as much in the store for these as I had to pay for them here. That’s also the reason I didn’t rate this a 5 star.The product itself is amazing. They really are the only dental chews that actually help to keep my dogs mouth clean and his breath not stinking. And the chews themselves don’t have any weird taste and there is no residue left behind on your hand after handling it either.I’ve tried multiple different products for dental on my dog in the past and these chews have done better than all of the ones I’ve come across. Plus I like how easy it is to break them in half so I can give him half in the morning and then the other half in the evening.While they are worth every penny I paid for them like I said I can find it for less in the store and only bought them online for the connivence. Also did I mention how much my dog loves these things!? He will follow me everywhere when I have one in my hand.

Great for Teeth and Gums
We have been using these for 10 years, and have found that they help prevent plaque build-up and promote good teeth and gum health. Our very picky Havanese dog has continued to eat them for 10 years, has not gotten tired of them, and still has all of her teeth! Since our dog is small (about 15 pounds), we cut them into 1/8ths and give them to her during the day and when she goes to bed to ameliorate any food particles she may have retained. She even looks for it before she lies down for the night to ensure she has it!

my dog loves these, but the price is way over the top. Costco sells them for $16 CDN, when they have them in stock, which is not all the time. Will stock up next time I see them there, that’s for sure.
