Great dog leash. It’s long, sturdy, and has a good grip. If the release button was a little bigger, it would be perfect. It is hard on my thumb to release but overall, great product.

No More Tangled Leash Struggles!
I’ve been using this retractable dog leash for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly impressed! The design feels sturdy but lightweight, and the retracting mechanism is super smooth, no tangling or jerky movements. My dog loves having the extra freedom to explore while still staying safely under control.The handle is comfortable to hold (even on longer walks), and the brake/lock button is easy to use with one hand, which makes a big difference when you’re juggling treats or poop bags. Very durable
I love the bright color and the durability of this leash. The only complaint is the lock feature is a bit tricky and takes some getting used to. It isn’t as easy to manipulate as other retractable leashes I have used.

Better for smaller breeds
Oh man l thought it was a 30 day window for refunds and just saw that l JUST MISSED IT even though I bought it 12/14/19 my close date for refund says 1/31/20!! Darn it this is a very pretty leash but it is a challenge to keep in the lock position when you have a puppy trying to get some leash to do her business. She’s trying to do her thing and l’m still messing with pulling out leash/trying to lock in the length it’s just not good not for me anyways !! I have paid more for a larger particular brand and was very happy now I just need to find the company name and get another one like l had before but one thing l do know it was an Amazon purchase. But getting back to this brand like l said for a smaller dog/puppy it would be just fine but l was trying to save some money and go with the pretty selection of colors to use on a labrador puppy!!! So it would really be probably 5 stars for the actual item if used for a small pet.

Sturdy, durable, and easy to use
I was looking for a retractable leash longer than normal to help with training my 6 month, 35 lb husky. I was reluctant to try this leash due to how thin the line is. But I gave it a try figuring I’d return it if it was a cheap quality or flimsy. After using this leash daily, for several weeks, in many different situations, I absolutely love it. I have not experienced any issue with the auto retraction (as I thought might happen) and the line is very sturdy. It is easy to use and is now my go to leash over any of my other standard length leashes. If I need the leash to be shorter as we are in a store or situation where my dog needs to be close to me, I just set the stop and it stays at the length I set. I absolutely would recommend this leash.

Nice, well-made, LONG leash, but tends to stick often.
The fact that this goes out for 26 feet is wonderful with us having a new puppy who is in training to be my husbands’ therapy/service dog. As a puppy she will run to the end of the rope sometimes & whether it’s the sudden jerky stop, or something else, the leash will stick & not recoil. You have to play with the release button & pull on the cord. This happens every time one of us takes her out & it doesn’t just stick at the end of the leash, but sometimes before you reach the end. The casing itself in very nice & sturdy. The leash is a lighter weight material but very strong. We’ve used this on our dog as she went from 38 – 48 pounds.

Description is confusing
My previous retractable leash stopped retracting – but I had it since 1989 so I definitely got my money’s worth. I bought this one but frankly wasn’t sure what I was buying – a 16’ leash or a 26’ retractable leash? There’s a slash between the 16/26 in the description, so it’s really unclear what you’re getting. Today it arrived. The handle is small – not something I would expect appropriate for us with a large dog. There are many complaints about the retraction button, I’m not sure why. It works the same way my previous retractable leash worked, and it worked smoothly with no issues. The surprise was the leash itself. It doesn’t look strong at all. It looks like a piece of ribbon approximately 1/2 inch wide. Since I haven’t taken my dog for a walk yet, I still don’t know how long it is. The box doesn’t indicate any size – only color. There is no insert, which is a shame, because the “cautions” on the outside of the box were mostly covered up by the shipping label, so I have no idea what they are. My dog is a ShihTzu, so I’m not worried about strength, but if I had wanted this for a boxer or lab, I would be more concerned about size and strength. I’ll give an update after I use it, but I feel like it’s a shaky start. I only gave it 3 stars because I’m not sure of the strength and durability, but an update will come in the next few days. I wanted to post this because the description is so confusing. At least one question is answered. It’s retractable. I have misgivings that this will last 32 years like my previous one did……

I bought this product previously but misplaced my first leash. I had been very happy with it so decided to replace the first with the same product. However I found the first leash before the second arrived. Therefore I now have a second as a backup. I haven’t used the second leash yet. However the first has proven to be very robust and reliable the spring tension is very good and the fabric strap is durable. After 6 months of daily use, often in the bush, the leash has operated reliably. There are a number of products on the market that look the same. However I have tried a couple of them and had lead breakage and rewind spring failures. The Emperor product on the other hand has been very reliable. If I had a complaint it would be with the size. The handle is too small to hold with a winter gloved hand. Consequently I tend to hold it with 2 or 3 fingers. Not really a big deal.

It’s good, I like it and it’s really long. My dog can go off and sniff and run a round when on walks and hiking. It does get stuck and it’s a bit hard to lock sometimes or unlock but it’s been through the ringer and still holding strong.
