Great for in the pool
Our dog loves to be in the swimming pool but broke a nail on the cement and every time after she went out, it would bleed again. Plus, she loves to jump on people and would scratch is up terribly. These shoes have solved both problems! They keep her feet and us safe. The only problem is that they tend to spin on her feet when she runs and the concrete tears up the nylon if it gets on the bottom so we have to watch and adjust the shoes to get the soles on the bottom every now and then. But overall they have worked great.

Works but somewhat awkward
This is the third version of doggie shoes or doggie socks I’ve tried with my 15 pound King Charles Spaniel. We live in the California desert where summers get to 115 F or more and I was concerned about her paws getting hot on the pavement where we go for walks. These fit okay and the Velcro closures are easy to fasten. My dog didn’t object to them being on, but she walked awkwardly and after a block or so, one or more slipped off. She walked much more slowly and had some trouble lifting a leg to pee (don’t know why but it’s her habit to do this). Eventually, I gave up and decided that she was happier without them, despite the hot sidewalk. If I take her early enough in the morning, it’s not quite so hot and we do encounter a fair amount of grass and shade, so this is actually unnecessary and uncomfortable for her. When she rolled on her back (another of her habits) she would then try to pull them off. I didn’t want to subject her to more of this. In my effort to make her more comfortable, I was actually making her more uncomfortable. She did look cute with them on, though.

Doggie shoes
I bought these in the middle of oct 2025, and they are falling apart.I’m disappointed I was happy with them I tough they would last at least 6 months.

The sizing is a little off
We bought the wrong size so we did have to return them. I would suggest sizing up. They did come very well packaged and the quality is very well. They just were too small to even put them on our dog’s foot.

My 14 1/2 year old Lab took to these right away!
My lab is 14 and a half and has been having problems with his rear feet slipping on the wood floors – but I didn’t get these for that. I got them because he had just started to drag his rear feet and caused a sore and a nail to be worn down on one. I ordered some booties with the harder soles but they were too big and twisted around. I thought I’d try these and bought a size large in these and was a little worried about him standing still while I put them on since they go on more like socks. I got them on with minimal effort and they fit very well. He walked in them right away and didn’t even seem to notice them. He even seemed to feel more confident walking and they do help on the wood floors too. Since he didn’t seem to mind them I just kept them on all day and you can see he slept in them fine. One of them did slip a little but was easy enough to rotate back and tighten the strap. I did not notice any rubbed spots from the strap clip as others mentioned. I can’t really speak to durability yet since he’s just worn them one day but they seem totally fine and we’ve been out about 3 times and crossed the street. Bottom line is they are working just like I’d hoped and am very happy I tried them! Plus we live in TX so I think the mesh will be much cooler and more comfortable.

Not very durable…
These were purchased for my 11 yr 10 mo old dog who has arthritis, limited mobility and subsequently, tender pads. I would NOT recommend these for slip prevention on hardwood floors or for durability.PROS:*Better than nothing to prevent slipping on the hardwood floors, but she still slips*OK for walks, these help prevent bruising but do rotate around her feet.CONS:*Difficult to get on, even with a lick mat stuck to the fridge to distract her*The sewn-on elasticized strap for securing boot doesn’t do the trick (size is good, the strap placement is wrong for her foot – Verified by my Physical Therapy Vet)*I can’t judge how tight it is (I have non stretch velcro tape I use instead in the proper position)*Do NOT stand up to use – we’ve taken only twelve (measured) 0.17 mile walks, the boots rotated on her feet each time, so we were constantly stopping to adjust them, and the fabric gets damaged.- see photoSorry HiPaw company, these just don’t get my vote.

Just what I needed – lightweight but durable and perfect for indoor use
As the owner of two 2 year old border collies I have my hands full. These two can be pretty rough in general, and fairly obsessive with the ball machine, etc. I bought these almost a year ago and got the wrong size. Meanwhile I have tried using outdoor “boots” for indoor play, socks, and other things….(the boots were too hot, the socks were to slippery and slipping off….) THEN my boy wore a hole in his foot, (outside) and needed some protection so it could heal….And, it isn’t like I could tell the border collie to just chill out. On a whim , as I was preparing to send these off to goodwill or something, the card fell out and I thought…what the heck I may as well try writing to the company and see if they will give me the right size. Well, they did still do the replacement – like I said it was quite a while. So, Lisa sent me the new ones in the right size and they are PERFECT….They don’t slip or turn, stay on, etc. They seem quite durable yet they breathe well. The cuffs are snug; both my dogs are used to wearing shoes and they know that in order to get the ball machine they have to wear shoes so they are patient. But, you might find it takes a bit of patience to get them on if your dog isn’t used to wearing shoes, and if your dog isn’t hyper hyper active like mine you might order a size up so the cuff goes on more easily. I mostly use on his front feet.

I invested in a set of these boots to try and stop my 10 year old cocker spaniel slipping on the tiled floors in our house. Sadly, they were no use whatsoever, he is still slipping on every surface in the house and maybe a bit worse if I’m honest on the stairs. Very disappointing, I can’t seem to find any brand of boot that actually does what it promises!
