The only brand I’ll buy, our stray and feral cats love them
I have been buying the Lectro-Soft outdoor heating pads for years for our outdoor stray and feral kitties in their kittyhouses – they are always durable and they last for years if taken care of properly. We do use an outdoor extension cord for the warming pads because the attached cord is never long enough to reach an outdoor outlet. Our kitty houses are well-insulated, and the lectro-soft kennel pad is generally all that is needed to keep the cats warm (with a heavy fleece blanket lined around the side edges of the floor), they appreciate them and always seem warm and comfortable, even in our sub-zero temps in winter and snow. The separate covers are easy to wash (on gentle cycle in washing machine and air dried in dryer), and they never collect snow and ice because the lectro kennel pad is always warm enough, and we do have covered porches on the houses for the cats to step on/enter before they step inside to use the pads. We have never had an air-leak with the warming pads, we let just enough air in during set up so that the pad isn’t wobbly or dome-shaped and they feel soft as a cloud and are always warm. The replacement pads are good quality and have lasted many seasons, I always have one or two extra on hand – so easy to slip on or off, and wash well in washing machine, and have remained soft and durable.

Great new cover for heating pad
I have a small, padded, bed-like heating pad by this company for my pup. I needed a new cover for it and this cover worked and fits perfectly.

Great cover pad to go with a great heat pad.
My cat loves this cover. The heating pad it goes with has worked well for years. My only request is that the pockets that slip over the ends needs to be longer. The cover/pad does slip off the pad a lot.

Really nice cover
I have 2 K & H heated houses that I purchased for two stray cats that adopted me several years ago. They are both passed on now but the houses are still in great shape…except the covers to the pads. After years of use, they got yucky. But everything else was still going strong. The house was still nice and the heating pad underneath still warmed up. So the fact that I could just order a new cover for the heating pad was great! It kept me from having to purchase a whole heating pad or cat house all over again! Which is great because I have two cats in the neighborhood that like to stop by and it’s getting cold outside and want to provide them with warmth if they need it.

Perfect for K&H Outdoor Cathouse
I ordered the K&H Outdoor Cathouse last year, and it’s been (literally) a lifesaver for my feral cat, Honey. The trouble is that Honey is (obviously, since he’s feral) an outdoor cat, so he gets very dirty and drags all kinds of things from bird feathers (I don’t ask!) and sand spurs to just plain old dirt from wallowing in the dirt to get some sun or sitting under bushes.As a result, I have to wash his heated pad cover quite often, and as it’s getting colder and he’s spending whole days in his heated cathouse, this means he can’t use it for the time it takes me to toss it in the washer and dryer. I was so happy to find this cover because it is the exact same as the one that comes with the cathouse, so it fits perfectly.Last winter, I left the patio door open and pretended that I had just forgotten to close it, so he would come in and be warmer while his bed cover was being laundered for him. As long I didn’t come too close, he seemed fine with that arrangement, but for an hour or so, I was letting freezing cold air into my cozy-warm house. (Of course as soon as I go near the door, he runs out of it, defeating the purpose of providing him shelter in the first place.) Plus, because the door was open, I had to rush to get it washed and dried and back outside for him, but with the rotation cover (this one!), I don’t have to do that and can let it sit in the washer or dryer until I get back to it.Anyway, this is, as I said, the same cover that comes with the K&H Outdoor Cathouse, so it meets my needs (and Honey’s) perfectly. While he’s eating his yummy kitty food, I just whip the dirty one off and put the new one on, and he’s not out of his cozy warmth for any longer than it takes him to enjoy his meal (and I don’t have to worry about him while I’m washing and drying his bed cover). Win-win.

not what i expected.
not much heat, even when cat lays on it. put hand under cat after she sleeps for an hour, her undercarriage is a bit warmer than when she sleeps in her bed indoors. pad is slightly warm when not in use. this was in the warm December in Ohio. we have an arctic blast coming…I will update as to performance in cold weather.I have pad sitting on a rectangle of insulboard. (the blue stuff) inside of a clear storage container with a small cat door cut into it. it is inside a cage ( wire with wood floor and roof) that has been covered with 20 gauge clear vinyl for the winter. the cage is 4×8 x4′ high and is accessible thru a cat flap in the bathroom window. it has a wood/shingle roof with overhangs, so it is quite dry.in the warm weather, it is an open aire wire enclosure. she watches the birds and sleeps on a wooden shelf on soft summer nights.Hally is a Princess.when the weather permits, we open a door that allows access into a large Catio.We enclosed the patio with wire 4 cats ago when one was mauled by a raccoon in the yard. The cats have permitted us to put chairs and a BBQ grill out there. They have a wheat patch and small shade tree. I grow flowers out there. there is a wooden jungle gym for the cats.She weighs 7.5 lbs. – is this enough weight to tell the pad to heat up? it is the small (14×18″ ) pad.I would appreciate comments on how I am using this product and if anyone has any suggestions to make it heat better.Thanks and meow!.
