Nice quality; generous size for small dogs
My 13-lb senior dog hurt her back,, and I was having trouble getting her out of her smaller travel crate that had an opening on top and at one end. I wanted a crate that had a large side opening, so she could exit without having to turn around or be lifted out. I bought this one and it’s like a Cadillac compared to her other crate. It’s significantly larger, which makes it easy for her to get in, stand, turn around, etc. Because of that, I didn’t really need the side opening, but used it a couple of times when she was reluctant to come out and I had to help coax her out. I like that it collapses down and comes with a storage bag. The canvas feels sturdy and the metal frame seems pretty strong. It’s quick and easy to assemble. I don’t think the mesh will stand up to a dog that chews or is determined to get out, though (fortunately, she’s neither). The only drawback of the larger size is that it’s hard for me to carry and maneuver it easily into the car when she’s in it. So I put it in the car first, open it at the end, pick her up and put her on the seat and she walks into it, and I zip it up. It can be secured with the seatbelt. It’s larger than I thought it would be, and bigger than she really needs, but I like how easy it is to get her in and out of it and the quality of the crate itself.

I like the color and sturdiness or the crate, I use it for my dog with my new car. The only thing is it’s a tad too long for the front seat and goes over the center console (that’s why I have to be careful with a small sound knob right beside it) and lots of the extra loose stitching thread inside crate.

Great concept, too much deflection in base to carry 15 lb, let alone 30
I love the idea of this large sized soft sided carrier.Pros:1- large enough for 2-3 cats / 4 tea cup chihuahuas / a litter of kittens, all depending on weight2-nice sturdy frame3-easily foldable for easy storage4-includes case for storage5-velcro straps to hold opened panels6-has hooks for a shoulder strap (not included), although I would not be able to use it that way, I could see attaching 2 straps to team lift.7-great as a den / better looking alternative to a crate for inside useCons:1-rated at 30 lbs, yet carrying by the handle with only 15 lbs inside causes too much deflection of the base to be used while carrying for any distance because there is absolutely no bottom support except for the outside material, which is the base of the carrier.2-no rubber ‘feet’ to protect the outside bottom of the carrier from wear, especially where the frame contacts the base.Even though the pros outweigh the cons, as it is shipped, I can’t use this Soft Travel Dog Crate Carrier Kennel as a carrier for the combined 22.5 lb weight of my 2 adult cats because of the deflection of the base. I like it enough that I will be searching for a light weight wire grid that fits inside the carrier, over the side tubes under the pad which I will attach with stainless or copper ties. With that grid installed, the carrier may not fold, and would have to be less than 8 lbs to keep within the 30 lb limit of the carrier, although I believe with the grid, or some other sort of bottom support (even 2 more frame sections going from long side to long side) would increase the weight capacity of the carrier IF the stitching would hold up. I may also just use some lightweight conduit cut and attached to the sides for the extra support.All in all, I really like this MUQMD Portable Foldable Collapsible Dog Crate, Soft Pet Dog Crate Carrier Kennel, Easy to Fold & Carry Dog Crate,Travel Dog Crate for Large Cats Small Middle Dogs Indoor and Outdoor, (although if used outdoors, it should definitely be used in a sheltered location). It seems to be a good quality made item, but it could be so much better. I guess I’ll never stop thinking like a farmer.

We loved this crate for my frenchie puppy but after only a few months she was able to destroy the crate so that the zipper area has a big hole. She loves it so we are still using it but now it is not secure if we want to keep her confined.

Right out of the package you can tell this is a quality product. Comes flat in a black nylon type storage bag, will be so nice to keep in when not being used. As I was looking at the instructions to put together my husband had it done: showed me, just pull bars up in a couple places; one bar on each side is in two pieces, you pull back on the attached fittings on each side of the split bar, fit together let loose of the fittings and pull up; repeat the other side and done. Less than a minute!Love that it has doors/zipper openings on the top, one end and one side, can put your fur baby in wherever it is sitting. Today I used the top door to arrange my pups blankets, the pad this comes with is very thin, I slipped a standard size bed pillow in the crate fits well much nicer. All corners are double patched and reinforced, double seams all the way round. We even love the color, basically just a normal beige/cream colored canvas.We got this for our senior dog that cannot see at night and goes a bit bonkers when he is frightened.Our thoughts are to get him used to staying in this crate and maybe he will feel safe. It is now sitting in the living room with his blanket in it, I will put his snacks in it and hopefully he will get used to being in it. Our other problem is he no longer feels safe in the car, from him loving going for a ride to shivering and frightened. At least this way we can transport him safely when necessary with the least trauma to him.So pleased with this portable dog crate, we put our other pup in for the picture and she does not like it….pulled the sad puppy, but she will end up in this at some point too.Update: left crate out by his normal bed, woke up the very next morning and he was in it. Already his first choice, I really think he feels safe.
