Effective but not perfect
I have received a few tracker tags from Amazon Vine in the past few weeks, and I’m testing and reviewing them one by one. This is the first one I have tried.PROS:- Looks and feels nice- Does everything advertisedCONS:- Locator feature is slow when out of range of connected device- Volume is low and doesn’t play sound for long enoughUnlike some trackers I’ve used in the past, which only work if they are within range of a connected device, this one connects to the Google Find Hub network and can help you find it even if it’s truly lost or stolen. I tested it by connecting it to my phone and hiding it within my car seat cushions.When both my phone and the tag were in range of each other, the Find Hub was able to pinpoint the location of the tag with very good accuracy. When I left the tag at home and took my phone to another location for several hours, the Find Hub reported the tag at my home, but it indicated that it was last seen hours ago. It appears to not update the location when it is not connected to a paired device.I reported the tag as lost, to test that feature. I was never alerted to it being found (I think that only happens if a person finds the tag and takes action to try and locate its owner); however, after some time (I checked after a couple of hours, but it may have taken less than that), the Find Hub reported the approximate location of the tag. The location wasn’t as accurate, tending to show the tag 2-3 houses away from where it actually was.I also tested the “Play sound” feature, which wasn’t super-impressive, being a little too quiet and a little too brief. When the tag was buried somewhere under my car seat, I could not hear it even when I was inside the car myself. When I pulled it out and tested it again, I could hear the beeps, but they were pretty faint and only lasted for 10 seconds, despite “Find Hub” showing that the sound was still playing for much longer.Aesthetically, I really love this tag. It looks sleek and clean without a lot of unnecessary embellishments. The clear plastic sleeve is thick and should provide a fair amount of protection—or you can choose not to use it if you want the tag to take up less space. It came with a good quality keychain ring.

Sound On, Sound Off T-9 Seconds
The lightweight tracker was so simple to connect to my device. In less than 5 minutes, it was connected, up and running.The location accuracy is spot on. To test the product, I placed a carryon in two different parts of my house. As I got closer, the mode changed and let me know I was getting closer to the device (carry-on). The quality of the device and plastic case seem durable. The functionality is good as the product works as advertised. The only drawback i noticed is the sound stops alerting around the 8-9 second mark. No matter the number of times I pressed ‘play sound,’ it stopped any alerting by 9 seconds (out of 60). The battery life is still going strong, but I can’t say it only eats up the charge while alerting or not.This is a good tag product for start, but be mindful of the alerting sound.
