Too many devices are apple-only for tracking. This is great for Android and Google device users.
So dead simple to use, I *accidentally* set it up when I turned it on and I was near my phone. I didn’t read the manual.Having avoided the apple Ecosystem for many years and not ever trying their tracking services, I thought the “Find me … ” features on Android wouldn’t be as fully featured or as dead simple to active and employ. The first tracker I bought for Android, I at least had to set up the app and registering the device then took two steps, if I recall correctly. This was just plain easier.I now have a dedicated tracker that worked with Google Find Hub and that rides with my small backpack (having another tracker already installed in a much bigger back, and I travel with these two bags when going overseas, so this instills in me a new confidence). It’s $14USD right now. That’s well under *half* the cost of Apple’s AirTags.I have no concept of the longevity and I’ll get to find that out in the weeks ahead, but this already wins on cost, convenience, and compatibility. 5/5 does what it says it will, and I’m perfectly happy with it.EDIT: It’s been a month and I tested the locator, still works great, still will chime when I summon it to, still acts like the other three trackers I got for other bags. Would recommend if it’s still among the cheapest.

Functional but Finicky Setup
This tracker works, but setup and behavior are more nuanced than expected. On first power-up, my Samsung phone and watch immediately showed a pairing pop-up. I didn’t activate it then, and that was a mistake. The pop-up never returned. Resetting the device alone wasn’t enough. Per the paper instructions, you’ll need to either reboot your phone or toggle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off and back on to re-trigger detection. The reset sequence is unusually complex: press the function button twice, then five rapid presses, holding the fifth until you hear a “ring-ring” chime. It’s not intuitive, and you’ll want to keep the instructions handy.Compatibility is limited to Google’s Find Hub app. It would’ve been more seamless if it worked with Samsung’s native Find app, but you’ll need to download Google’s Find Hub to use it.The included tool helps open the device for battery access and lanyard installation. It’s tiny but has a keychain hole, useful, since it’s easy to misplace. The tracker uses a standard CR2032 battery, which is convenient.Sound behavior is odd. When triggered from the app, the beep starts soft and ramps up quickly. Despite the app claiming a one-minute duration, the sound cuts off after about 10 seconds. Strangely, the initial soft beep is easier to hear from a distance than the louder one, possibly due to how the sound is generated at different volumes.Overall, it’s a compact tracker with decent functionality, but expect a few setup hurdles and quirks in sound behavior.

Good tracker that’s let down by Google’s poor Find service.
This is a hard item to review because it’s difficult to separate the device from the Google Find service. The tracker itself seems well made. Activation was beyond easy. There’s no good way to secure it however besides the included wrist strap. I believe it’s similar in size to the Apple AirTag and may fit in holders designed for that. The letdown is Google’s Find Hub. I traveled around with this tag and a Samsung SmartTag2 for a few days. The SmartTag2 consistently had more up to date location information. Google Find lagged far behind. In addition, Google Find doesn’t support location history. I’m pretty sure the issue is with Google, not the tracker. Overall, the experience is far inferior to Samsung’s service. Good hardware let down by bad software.

Works great with Android and Find Hub. Easy to use.
I’d always been jealous of Apple users with their popular AirTag devices. I’d unsuccessfully searched for an Android equivalent and didn’t realize, before seeing this, that such existed. Google’s Find Hub works great. As an experiment left my tracker in the car and walked to work. The phone recognized where the device was even as someone else drove the car around. Initially connecting the device to Android was simple. I turned on the tracker and Find Hub instantly recognized it.

Works well inside my backpack, but opening the device was frustrating
This is my first tracker and I love that it can last “forever” with a replaceable battery. The battery is the small disc CR-22XX, they’re easy to find and very inexpensive. I opened the device because I’m too nerdy for my own good, and because I wanted to attach the included lanyard. It took me quite some time to put everything back together because it was very difficult for me (low vision) to align the halves together.I had to set up my device twice. While my Z Fold 6 device detected the tracker immediately once powered, something happened during setup and things went sideways. I used the instructions to reset the device and after that, pairing/connecting with the Find App (Android Only) went smoothly. Since then, over a week ago, it’s functioned as expected.I’ve opened the app on occasion to test the location tracking and every time it’s been accurate. For a rechargeable tracker that will work for quite a long time, I found the value pretty good.My 4/5 stars rating is for the difficulty opening and closing the tracker.

Nice Tags
Nice Tags. I’ve always struggled to find my house and car keys. Since I’ve been using the Tracker Tags, I feel more at ease with this new invention. It locates keys accurately. The design is modern and compact. The kit contains two smart tags, easy to set up and connect to Bluetooth and the app. Would recommend.
