Effective
So far, so good for effectiveness. I have semi feral barn cats who like to mark against the doorways to my residence and porch. I use this every few days and it has proven to be effective thus far after 2 weeks. It does have a strong clove scent, which I do not mind as it is much better than cat urine infiltrating my home. I recommend this product.

I have a lot of cats from participating in rescue over the years. I always prided myself on the fact that they all got along great. However – Youngest kid went to college, and then moved rooms when he returned. One of our rescues that has been here since he was a kitten and is neutered became territorial. This is a first for me. I want to get him to the vet to see if one of his “boys” was missed during the neuter – because this does not seem normal to me. At any rate, when he has marked, one of our other neutered male cats comes along and is like “oh, is this what we are doing now?” and then squirts a tiny bit nearby. Then, my only purebred, the oriental shorthair, is completely upset at the spraying, so he holds his urine, starts acting like a weirdo, which causes the original sprayer to chase him. WHAT IS GOING ON? I’ve always had peace in my house of cats until this occurred. Anyway, I use an enzyme cleaner which totally takes the smell away for humans, but I felt like a needed a deterrent. So far, this is working really well. There is no more marking in the areas I have sprayed this. I’m guessing I will have to refresh the smell on occasion. I do have to say this product smells wonderful. I really love the smell of it. It’s pleasant and soothing. I will be buying more. As a reminder to those with cats – cats don’t go outside of the litter box unless there is a problem. We have ruled out medical, so this territorial situation has a reason behind it. Don’t give up on your cats. Solve the puzzle, find the problem, and then start troubleshooting so it doesn’t happen anymore.

Extremely Strong Smell
First and foremost, I do not recommend this to anyone with breathing issues. It’s extremely strong and I ended up throwing it away because it kept giving me asthma attacks.Secondly, it did not work for our cat with behavioral marking. Yes, he was healthy. We used this in conjunction with litter attractant and it did not make much difference. It would deter him to an extent but he has his specific locations he liked to pee and he was determined to go there. If this was fresh he might go somewhere else, but it doesn’t hang around all day. I’d have to spray it at least 3x a day for it to be effective, which meant I couldn’t breathe. And even then he would go in those locations if he had to. I also tried to use it to keep my other cats away from certain areas (not because they were peeing, but because I have areas they aren’t allowed) and it did not keep them from going where they wanted.I’m s sure this would help with some cats. But it was not working for mine and only caused me distress. Whatever it does to my lungs, even my inhaler has a hard time fixing.

Honestly I don’t know why this product doesn’t have better reviews because in my case with 6 cats, it is the only thing that has worked so far.My cats started peeing right by my front door. I was so overly aggravated at the situation I spent hundreds of dollars on other products that promised they would get rid of the scent to prevent remarking or even eliminate the odor completely. I was disappointed every time I try a new product and a day or 2 later would wake up to a puddle of pee by my front door. I even considered rehoming the cat with the main issue. She would mark and then the others would follow. They had plenty of litter boxes that are constantly being cleaned so I kmow that was not the problem. I took her to the vet and clinically there is nothing wrong with her. I bought hormone scented plug ins and a whole lot of things I was promised would work. Well I decided to give this a try and I am very happy with the results so far. It has been a little over a week and I have not found any pee in the area I sprayed. I sprayed a few at night before going to bed and once during the day.I even had to throw away my couch because it was ruined and I couldn’t stand the smell of urine when walking into my living room area. I stayed with and empty living room for a few months. Afraid that if I ordered a new couch it would be the same. After trying the spray for a few days I took a chance and hot a new couch which I sprayed with this and they have stayed away from it. For me and my cats it has worked wonders.So far it is doing what it promised to do. I hope it would be the end of a marking era from my cats.

After years of battling cat spraying, I am finally winning the war! My home is a four cat household and so I have four different feline personalities always vying for attention [ by way of various forms of marking territory] and in every group of fur babies I’ve raised, there has always been one or two that like to leave little wet messages here and there, around my homes. In multi-cat households, this is not unusual, I know, but it can be very trying [ and also very costly]. Obviously, I have tried many different products, with varying degrees of success, but this one is by far the best. It is also made with natural, harm-free ingredients, and a “not unpleasant” citrusy smell too. I have found that repeat spraying, every day or two, until the culprit has finally got the message, is the way that worked for me. Persevere…you may find it takes a few bottles with some, and they may go back to their favorite “spots” if you stop spraying too soon, but perseverance really does pay off in the end, so don’t give up. Very much recommend, for problem marking!

It was super useful. I have a couple of stay kitties who come into building and they often used to spray in front of the door or the adjacent wall. I wanted something to stop that without harming the kitties. They still visit us but no spraying since I have started using the product. Initially I used to spray in once in 2-3 days. Now just once in two weeks. And no spraying from day one!
