Great, but some things to know
This is a really good cable. It has impressively strong cord and metal components. My dog has broken every other tie out I’ve purchased, but this one is hanging in there months later. There are some issues you need to know if you are considering purchasing:1. When we first got this, I didn’t like working the carabiner. It’s a strong carabiner, but screwing it on to his collar took more than a few seconds, which is a long time for a wiggly dog who needs to go out. So I bought a double-ended snap hook rated for horse training. If you have a dog like mine (83 lbs of brute force), don’t get a dog snap hook. He broke two of these before I found the horse one, which has lasted for months now. You need the double hooks to attach it to the loop at the end of the tie out cable.2. The actual tie-out cable is made of braided steel or similar, coated with plastic. It works well, but if the dog suddenly charges to the end of it, the cable will slap up against the dog’s skin from where the cable was laying on the ground. Your dog will get a bruise on their thigh from the slap. It happened a couple of times, then my dog got more careful and stopped charging like a bull. It acted as a corrector. I know it sounds mean, but he loves laying out front, and it’s the only safe way I’ve found to let him stay out there. I’d rather he have a couple of little training pains then get loose and get hit by a car. And a fence isn’t an option for my Houdini dog, who digs under or climbs anything.3. Also, it doesn’t easily knot, but if it does get tangles, undo it so the plastic doesn’t get broken. Seriously, this tie-out has been a life-changer for my sweet, active boy!

Almost a year and counting, has held up amazingly well! Best leash I have ever bought
I am just shy of a year from having purchased this. This is by far one of the best tie out leashes I have ever used. I used this for a 130lbs Great Dane. Every other leash, tie out, cable, etc. I have tried did not last more than a month at a time, sometimes even less. There have been many times my dog ran passed her reach, and where most other leashes would snap at the sudden pull force, this one has held up beyond my expectation. I am very pleased with the quality. I inspect it regularly (she catches it on everything including rocks, stumps, and trees), and even with all the constant wear and tear and abuse it goes through every day, it still stands fully intact and unharmed. My Dane isn’t a serious and aggressive chewer, but she has chewed on it a good bit. She used to chew through other tie outs; this one doesn’t even have bite marks in it. The extra reinforced rivets on both ends have made a world of difference, too. I am very pleased and excited with how well this tie out has done and would recommend it to almost anyone. I will be replacing her leash soon, I must admit. I found a small crack in the cable coating (partly my fault as I caught it on something while working in the yard), and the cold weather will likely cut into that. We will see how long it lasts though. I don’t really have anything bad to say about it. I wish I could get the length I want in different colors, but that is no big deal for me. I’m just glad I found something that works and works well. Definitely a leash worth your time and money.

It’s strong and my Lab can’t get loose
Great rope for my dog it’s strong. The only thing is I wish it had a hook on the end not the twist tightening. It’s length is good too it doesn’t tangle up

Review
This cable lasted longer then any other I have bought for my huskey, after a year the cable did the same as any other the coating wore do to being out side cracked and then the wire inside snapped and the dog got off the leash but definitely was better made and took longer to break

I personally like these tethers.
I bought 2 of these (1 purple, 1 blue), 25 ft long, b/c we currently rent a cabin at a Resort/Campground & in we can’t put up a fence to keep our dogs in our yard & as smokers, we tend to spend a lot of time outside on our front porch so I installed a tether mount to the porch & added 2 of these. Now my dogs aren’t exactly big…. Melanie is, we THINK, a pit-chihuahua, about 25lbs; Murphy is a pit-lab & is 43lbs, they’re both 1 y/o. Luckily our driveway/front yard is exactly 25 ft from the end of the porch to about 3 feet from the road, so they’re the perfect size. My dogs can still run around our yard, without needing to be walked, they can play without being able to get in the street. Now after I bought these, well, that’s when I finally read the reviews (b/c we JUST took in a 1 y/o Boston Terrier who belongs to my brother-in-law, who can’t take the dog to his new apartment. So until they find a new apartment where they can take the dog, we have her, so I need another tether so she can have the same freedom as our 2)…. I’ve been using these tethers since the beginning of September & haven’t had a problem OTHER than my 2 dogs get tangled A LOT & it’s a process to get them untangled, but I think that’s my dogs fault. They do kink up & lose their shape quickly but it’s a cable, I didn’t expect it to be perfect forever. I haven’t had an issue with rust & I live on a mountain in PA; we’ve been getting rain &/or snow almost nightly for the past 2 weeks (it’s Nov 24,2025, so nothing has accumulated but it’s still precipitation) & it rains a lot here, so it’s not like I live in a dry climate. They lock like advertised, they deal with both my dogs running back & forth & PULLING when they get to the end of the tether. The color is nice, although I WISH these were reflective, at least every couple feet or something so car headlights would reflect off of the tether, letting drivers know that my dogs are on tethers & can NOT run into the street. Because I live at a resort, we have a lot of people renting cabins, bringing RV’s up, or just tent camping here & my dogs like to run off the porch directly to the street, looking like they’ll run in front of a car when they physically can’t get 1 foot in the road. For MY dogs, these tethers work great. ESP since my dogs do OCCASIONALLY attempt to chew the tether off but they give up really quickly.

Oh my gosh, you could tie an elephant up with this. Very strong, and well made. We have deer in our yard a lot so I needed something to keep my dog who is a Golden Aussie mix from taking off after them. He is very strong and chews through everything. I just can’t see him doing that with this purchase. N0 regrets what so ever.

Previous cables used to keep our 25 lbs. Irish Terrier out in the yard during the day damaged very easily when they became tangled around a tree, a fence or basketball pole. This one does not damage so easily despite the dogs’ best efforts. Thank you.
