Milo loves when it’s time to brush his teeth now. The brush easily fits in his mouth and he likes the taste of the paste.

The pro about this toothpaste is that although it’s peanut butter flavored, the scent isn’t too strong or overbearing. Sadly, it didn’t really help with my dog’s gum irritation. I found it to be on the watery side and it didn’t ‘bubble’ up as much as our usual enzymatic toothpaste. The sensitive area on my dog’s gums remained red even after a few days of use. If your dog doesn’t have any sensitive gums, then this toothpaste may work better, but if your dog is prone to getting dental issues like mine, then it’s not the best option out there. I do like that it comes with the toothbrush and silicone finger toothbrush.

Dog doesn’t hate it
My dog has always disliked getting his teeth brushed. He tolerates it but definitely tries to pull away so it’s a matter of speedily getting the task done. We liked the Tropiclean dog toothpaste kit and my dog seems to like the toothpaste as well. He sniffed it the first time and did not pull away which is a good sign.I’ve used the finger brush with a few drops of the toothpaste as directed. I know they recommend doing one side first and then the other side but with my dog, I don’t have that luxury. This makes the finger brush easy and efficient. I can get towards the back and his canines just fine as I have used other finger brushes before.However, I do like that this one is tighter so it’s a bit hard to take off – which isn’t necessarily a bad thing as you don’t want to fidget with the brush when you’re brushing your dog’s teeth. We’ve been able to make quick work of our dog’s nightly routine and made brushing his teeth a bit easier too.
