Halogen Infrared Heat Lamp Used in Thermador Range Hood
I can no longer find American made PAR38 Red Infrared heat lamps with E26 Standard Edison base. Even the European Phillips (last made in Poland) are nearly impossible to find. So I decided to try this Chinese import (Brand: SFYJZJUUS). I was pleasantly surprised with the look and feel of the bulb, assembly quality appears to be quite good.It fits perfectly in our Thermador Range Hood and is working very well at keeping food hot. The price was very attractive compared to the last time I bought Phillips and Sylvania bulbs (which I can’t find anywhere). Can’t say how long it will last. The Sylvania’s survived for 9 years.

Great heat lamp
Great heat lamp for a good price. I purchased this bulb to keep my daughter’s plants warm during the winter. She has small avacado and mago trees as well as jalapeno plants . Hopefully this will work as the colder air starts to come in. The bulb is a bit heavy and fit perfectly into my metal lamp . I have never used this method for plants but will see how it works out

Heavy and solid heat lamp bulb.
I got this for indoor use in a reptile pen in my basement. This bulb arrived well packed and protected. I tested this bulb for about an hour to see how well it works. In that time, it worked as it should. It emitted a nice even heat as expected.This bulb is very much like the old-style outdoor flood light bulbs. It is heavy and thick. I have multiple heat lamps set up in multiple pens. In those other pens, I use the lighter cheaper heat bulbs that I purchase at the feed supply store. I cannot see a difference in the heat or function of those cheaper bulbs compared to this more expensive one.This bulb claims “90% Heat Concersion [sic] = $42/Year Savings”. I cannot verify that claim, and I do not know how efficient the cheaper bulbs I am currently using are. I also do not know if this bulb will last any longer than those other less expensive ones.Bottom line is that this bulb seems to work the same as the cheaper ones, but it costs more. If all the claims made in the advertisement are correct and this bulb is more efficient and it last longer than the cheaper bulbs, this bulb may be worth the higher price. But I honestly have no way of verifying those claims, and hopefully it will be quite some time before I see how long this bulb lasts.

Great Infrared Brooder Heat Lamp for My Chickens!
I recently purchased this 175W Infrared Brooder Heat Lamp for my chickens, and I’m really pleased with it! The lamp arrived well-packaged (see my pic). It fits perfectly in a standard E26 bulb socket and works seamlessly with my standard sized chicken reflector and guard system.What I love:• Compact size: It’s smaller than a standard brooder lamp, which is a big plus for my setup and it seems to have no impact whatsoever on its performance. See side-by-side pics and pics of each lamp type inserted in the reflector.• Quick heating: It warms up fast and seems to provide more heat than my old brooder lamp, perfect for keeping my chickens cozy.• Ideal for my needs: I’m using it in an old doghouse my chickens have claimed as their daytime hangout (they only return to their main coop at night). With winter coming, this lamp is a game-changer for my 9-year-old chickens, especially one who struggles with mobility. It’s keeping their “home away from home” nice and warm during the day.• It has a flat heating surface, which could make it work better for those using it on top of a screen for a lizard setup.• It also comes with a nice length of cord and an inline on/off switch which adds a bit of additional convenience.A minor note: the lamp is heavier than expected, which isn’t an issue with my metal reflector but could be a concern for lighter setups. Still, it’s not a deal breaker. I’ve included pics of the installation, and I’m excited to see how long this lamp lasts, especially with its advertised cost savings. Heat lamps are a must when keeping chickens but they always seem to burn out quickly. I like to have several on hand.This price seemed good enough to try.These came very well packed in a form fitting foam clamshell inside the box. These are made from heavy glass, the lens being tinted red. The light is very reddish too.After about a minute the temperature on plain cardboard was around 130°F at eight inches (8″) away. After 5 minutes, the temperature had climbed to nearly 160°F so like with any heat source, the position is important, especially around livestock.I’ve gotten 2 brooding seasons out of similar lamps like these in the past and expect the same with these. Three or so months of continuous use or around 4500 hours. The box says they’ll do 5000, so we will see.For the cost, 2 seasons is satisfactory.
