Is it noisy?
Operating noise is approximately 60-80dB. As longer launch distance leads to louder noise, we temporarily adopt a balanced solution considering both. Tip: If you highly pursue quiet operation, please buy this machine with caution.
Will the ball get stuck? Is the launching distance stable?
Using standard tennis balls nearly prevent jamming avoid overly hard or large ball. Weve specifcally optimized for launch distance stability, ensuring nearly consistent throw distances even during continuous fring.
What size of dogs is this suitable for?
Standard tennis ball is about 2.5–2.7 inches in diameter, while small dogs like Teddy Bear dogs have a mouth width of 1.18–1.97 inches. Their mouths aren’t big enough to bite a whole standard tennis ball. Thus, it’s suitable for medium to large dogs.
What if accessories are lost or damaged?
No worries! You can purchase standard tennis bals and chargers from third parties with the same specifications. However, the remote is VKL-exclusive-if lost or damaged, you’ll need to buy a new VKL remote separately.
How long does the battery last?
Batery life yaries by power mode (Range 1/2/3, usage. and enyironment. Exact runtime can’t be provided, but a ful charge tyoicaly supports severalhours of play. Note: Battery is non-replaceable for safety.

Very fun!
This is a fantastic indoor/outdoor toy! My dog loves this thing. You can never tell which way it will bounce and she loves trying to catch it

His Favorite!
My cane Corso loves this ball and the way it bounces in different directions, keeping him guessing. He mouths it heavily all the time, but is careful not to break it- and he breaks apart and tears all his toys. That’s not to say IT is really tough, only that he seems to be careful with it!

Loud, flimsy, and weak; Delphi is not impressed
I really wanted to like this thing. I’ve got a 50-ish pound cattle dog mix who lives for fetch, and I was hoping this would give my throwing arm a break. Out of the box though, it immediately feels on the cheap side; the plastic housing doesn’t feel tight or solid, more like something that might not age well after a season or two in the garage.Nice points first; it does come with a couple of balls, and I really like that it works with normal tennis balls, because those mysteriously vanish in the yard on a regular basis. That part is genuinely convenient. The actual use is where it falls apart. This thing is loud when it spins up to launch; not just a little whirr, but a noise that made Delphi back up and stare at it like it was about to grow legs. She’s not a particularly skittish dog, but she was clearly not a fan. Outdoors, on the farthest setting, we’re talking maybe 20 feet of distance, and that’s with it pointed slightly downhill. For a medium to large dog that loves to run, that’s barely a warm-up jog. I can throw farther one-handed while holding a glass of wine, and I’m defintely not training for any leagues here. The remote is… fine in concept, but annoying in practice. Some features seem to live only on the remote, which means if it’s misplaced or the battery dies, you’re not getting full use out of the launcher. For something that should be simple; put ball in, ball goes far; it feels oddly overcomplicated. The charging setup also does not inspire much confidnece; the connection feels fiddly, like you have to baby it to make sure it’s actually seated right. For something a dog toy is going to bump into and you’ll move around the yard, I’d prefer a much more solid plug design.Overall, it technically works, but between the noise, the weak throwing distance, the cheap feel, and the finicky charger, it just isn’t worth dragging out. Delphi loses interest quickly, and honestly, so do I. Two stars because it does launch a ball and I like the standard-ball compatibility, but I’ll mostly go back to tossing by hand or using my old manual thrower instead.

Works well despite questionable build
This ball launcher is a new favorite of our pups. We primarily use it outdoors as it scares the cat if we use it indoors. The 10 foot setting shoots about halfway across the living room, so most people could probably find a way to use it inside, and we may try in the winter. For the good: I like that it has three distance settings, and love that it has a sensor so no one gets clocked in the face. Being rechargeable is great. The display panel text is large and bright, and the single button on the front to adjust things makes it all very easy to use. I don’t need to charge it very often. There are a few of problems: the main one is the charging cord is not safety certified so I would not leave it to charge unsupervised. It’s also pretty difficult to get the cord to plug in to the launcher. Fortunately the plug box has a light that will light up green when the plug is pressed in enough to charge. The light will go red while charging, then green again when fully charged, and then you can store it away. I don’t think we’ll use the remote, so I appreciate that it stores away with the cord.Unfortunately, the casing feels quite cheap. This is especially a problem at the handle, which is no different visually than the handle on disposable boxes of cat litter. I also really wish the compartment covers were attached at the hinge, as they come off easily and I can see one getting lost in the grass. The machine has worked with any brand medium sized tennis-type ball we’ve used. It did not work with the small size balls, or the major brand TPR balls. Our chi-yorkie+ really likes to strip fuzzy balls, but being able to put them inside the case when we bring the machine back inside has helped minimize needing to replace balls so far.I have avoided getting a ball launcher in the past because I’ve read a lot of horror stories of them dying quickly, not being able to handle slobbery balls, hitting dogs in the face, etc. I haven’t had any problems with this one just working as long as we use the right balls. Not having to use branded balls is a big plus, and perhaps part of the price point. The price is comparable to the big brand name version of these launchers, though it feels much more expensive when compared with the other no-name launchers. As long as it continues to work it will have been worth it to keep our highly energetic guy busy when we need a break.

Great toy.
Originally meant for Golden Retrievers but also works extremely well for playing with a 4.6 pound 14 week old Pomeraninan. Light weight and can be grasped buy larger and smaller dogs early. Extremely unpredictable bounce when you throw it for retrieval. Makes the dogs really think to react to catch or get it.

Good quality
Fun to play fetch with. Bounces in different directions.

Nice idea but poor execution
The concept of this automatic ball launcher is great, but the execution falls short. The plastic casing and carrying handle feel cheap, and it definitely doesn’t launch balls as far as advertised—even on the highest setting. The storage compartment for extra balls is convenient, but that’s about the only positive. Balls are average quality, the noise is noticeable, and the overall performance left our large breed pups completely uninterested. This is the second launcher we’ve tried, and neither impressed us. Honestly, a Chuck-It works far better. Battery life is unknown since we tried it only once before donating it. A solid idea, but the product itself just didn’t deliver. It’s absolutely not a good value in my opinion.
