Note: Due to the fact that some air impurities may be mixed into the heating lamp tube of the chicken heater during the production process, there will be a slight burnt smell when the power is connected for the first time. Don’t worry for this is a normal phenomenon. The burnt smell will disappear after using the product a few times.
Fast Heating & Dual Settings: The outdoor heat lamp offers 2 heating modes for adjusting the temp: Low (100W)/High (400W), quickly warms up in just seconds, and spreads warmth more evenly over a wide area.
Safe & Durable Design: Built with galvanized steel housing and compact protective grill, this livestock heater prevents accidental burns or bulb damage. The waterproof design and thickened power cord ensure safety for daily use.
Wide Range of Use: Ideal for chickens, ducks, puppies, kittens, rabbits, dogs, birds, and other small animals, this chicken heat lamp provides steady directional warmth, keeping your livestock and pets cozy and warm on cold nights.
Long Power Cord & Adjustable Height: Features a 5.9 ft power cord with a simple toggle switch, and hanging metal chain included, it’s easy to set up in your chicken coop, barn, kennel, or pet house. Adjustable height design allows flexible placement.
Need No Assembly: There are two heating lamps included, one of which is already installed for immediate use, and the other heating lamp tube is available for replacement.

Chicken coop heater works great with other pets too.
Good little heater, put it above my dogs house on patio, he loves it, getting down to the 30s tonight. So easy to hang and take down in spring. To get the extra heat element out, (included ) just turn heater in hanging position (down). and pull it out easily from the side, which is the bottom) Also Included is one chain provided with clips for hanging. Feel it’s Worth it!

Great for NH temps
Everything it says it is. Lowest setting is great for cold temps in NH and max settings is amazing for below temps in NH.

Decent
This is a sturdy little poultry lamp, and it is made well; standard for what you expect from a poultry lamp. The size is as advertised, and it functions well for heating a poultry space, though for safety, I highly recommend you keep it well away from flammable materials, especially hay, because this puts out some serious heat. They have made it so it is safe for your birds. There is a grill on the front, and the cord is high quality, so all that chicken dust and humidity doesn’t cause an issue. There are low and high settings, though I keep mine on low; I live in a coastal area, and we get snow, but freezing temperatures are limited. On freezing nights, I’ll turn it up, but for the most part, the low setting works for me, and it keeps the birds comfortable. To replace the bulb, you have to remove the front grill, which is a Herculean feat; it is so stinking hard to remove! I’m trying not to break the bulb when I do it, so it makes it twice as hard as it needs to be. It is because of this that I took off a star. The technology already exists; using a little common sense would make being able to remove this grill a hundred times easier. Getting it back on is only slightly easier. This did come with two bulbs, though they need to address how they ship this with the bulbs floating all over. And they do sell extra bulbs, so I recommend getting some of those as backups; you never know how long a product will be on the big A.The bulbs themselves aren’t particularly high grade, but they do function fine. The chains that hold this are adequate, but I use a thicker chain because….. chickens. I don’t know what they get up to sometimes, but a sturdier chain is a no-brainer and worth it. Plus, I like this further away from the ceiling because it truly does put out some heat. – Just use common sense for your coop and you’ll be fine. It’s a nice little heater and works well.

My birds are so happy to have this!
We’ve only got two quail right now, but, now that it’s cooler, they needed something to keep them cozy and warm. This light is perfect for that! It’s heavy duty, which makes me feel safer about it not accidentally starting a fire. Comes with its own chain, which we ended up not using, and with two bulbs plus instructions on how to change them. Since we aren’t hanging it facing downward and are facing it sideways, we put zip ties through the two metal loops on the back (which are for the chain) and mounted it to a couple different things until we found a good fit.In the heat of the summer, our male bird stopped his squawking, which was sad because we liked his funny little mock-rooster call. We figured he would forget how to squawk since it had been so long since we heard him. Then, the first time we used this light, he started squawking again. Now he squawks several times a day—makes us laugh every time! After I turned off the lamp after the first use, it didn’t want to restart the next time I went to turn it on. I don’t know why but I flipped the switch several times and, finally, it came back on. Haven’t had any issues with it since. The birds are very happy!
