🟩 Davinci dog vs 🟥 Other brands
🟩 0% animal byproducts We do not use meat meals or animal byproducts which are low-quality fillers such as feathers, hooves, or blood meal. These ingredients may introduce contaminants and offer poor digestibility. 🟩 Sourced from Canada We use 99% of its ingredients from trusted Canadian suppliers. We never source from China, ensuring full traceability, ingredient safety, and consistent quality. This eliminates the risk of contamination or adulteration often associated with poorly regulated overseas sources. 🟩 full disclosure We fully disclose the percentage and the country of origin for each of our ingredients on our website. 🟩 functional food We combine scientifically supported functional and active ingredients to promote overall wellness. Our 100C Hypoallergenic formula includes glucosamine and chondroitin for joint support, taurine for heart health, and L-carnitine for energy — fortified with essential vitamins and minerals for long-term vitality. 🟥 animal byproducts Other brands, beyond their poor nutritional quality, animal byproducts and unspecified meat meals can contain harmful chemicals such as barbiturates — substances used to euthanize animals. May introduce harmful substances or contaminants 🟥 poor ingredients sourcing Other brands source ingredients from various parts of the world, often from regions with weak regulatory oversight. This increases the risk of contamination and makes it difficult to trace and resolve issues when they occur. 🟥 undisclosed Other brands rarely specify the exact ingredient percentages or country of origin. They often manipulate ingredient lists to make premium items appear first . For example, splitting corn into multiple forms like “corn meal” and “maize” so that corn, the true primary ingredient, appears late on the list. 🟥 untested additives Other brands use generic or untested additives with little to no proven health benefits. Their formulas often lack key functional ingredients like glucosamine, chondroitin, or taurine — resulting in limited support for joint, heart, and overall wellness.

Pomsky approved
My 7 year old Pomsky pup has a very discriminating palette. I have a hard time finding kibble that he will tolerate. He demands variety in his meals, with that in mind we decided to give this a shot.He actually likes this salmon kibble. He ate an entire bowl full of this stuff, without a topper or me cajoling him to do so! That may not sound like much, but trust me, with this pup it is.He has a sensitive stomach and this food is gentle enough to not cause issue. My dog tried this brand’s turkey flavored kibble and refused to eat it. The salmon flavor was a yes for him though. The kibble pieces are very small. A tiny dog would have no trouble eating this. The bag has a resealable top, which is handy. The food is expensive. Most high quality dog food is expensive though. If it’s healthy and my dog actually eats it continually, I don’t mind paying a premium. His current brand of air dried kibble is $35 for 2.2 pounds. This is $35 for 3.3 pounds, so it’s actually less expensive than his current favorite. The ingredient list looks great. Simple and straightforward. Made from healthy Canadian ingredients.

Updated: My dogs don’t like it but it has high quality traceable ingredients
UPDATE: my dogs are now refusing to eat their regular food if I add this Davinci kibble to it. I had been using a small handful of this kibble as a food topper on their normal food for a few days and they were doing fine so I mixed the rest of the small bag in with a big bag of their normal food. I noticed our picky dog has not been finishing her meals this past week and the other one that is always eager to eat has been less excited about her meals. I tried adding a tablespoon of soft food to each of their dishes and that only helped a little. The eager eater are most everything but left some of the Davinci food (she always kicks her bowl clean!) and the picky one has basically refused to eat most her meals the last 2 days. After she refused to eat anything but the soft food on top tonight, I gave her the old kibble food without this Davinci food and she ate it all without issue. After I spent 40 minutes separating out the Davinci kibble from the old kibble in their bin, I set the big bowl of just the remaining Davinci food I separated out down in front of my eager eater, who always eats her meals and begs for more, and she sniffed it and walked away. But she was happy to eat a small dog treat after she walked away.I ordered this Davinci dog 100c hypoallergenic dog kibble for my spoiled & picky Chihuahua rat terrier mixes that have chronic health issues. The kibble is tiny so it would be good for tiny dogs but may be an aspiration risk for large dogs or dogs that gulp their food down too fast, no strong odor and no chemical smells. The kibble is fresh with an expiration date 10 months out. I love that all the ingredients are sources locally and are traceable with the QR code on the back of the bag and so many natural ingredients without extra fillers. Another big plus is the low calorie count of 360kcal/100gm (just for reference when I measured out 100 gm it was about 7/8 of a cup to compare to my dogs current food at 325 kcal/cup) which means I can add it as a generous topper for my dogs without too much concern for them gaining weight. This is a balanced food for whole meals but at the high price and small quantity bag I am using it as a topper for my dogs current low calorie and high quality dog food to add some interest to eating the same food every day. I also did not want to transition them too quickly to a full new diet. They both seem to like it ok but not the are not overexcited about it. No issues with loose stools or gas or decreased appetite so far. There is nothing about this food that I don’t like so far except the price but you get what you pay for and being a premium food from Canada I would expect to pay an increased import cost currently. I only see this food sold in small bags so far which will leave it as a low calorie topper for my pups since they don’t require a hypoallergenic food at this time and I would need to buy in larger quantities for 2 dogs using 2 cups+ total a day and only about 16 cups per bag totaling 1 bag+ per week. I am currently paying about half this price per pound when bought in 20# bags for they’re current high quality/ low calorie food but would consider paying more for this high quality limited ingredient food if my dogs health needs required it and I could buy it in larger bags at a more reduced price per pound because of bulk amount.

The new standard for healthy dog food
My 2 dogs (15lb terrier and 95lb labrador) tried this food for a week so far and they absolutely love it! I love that it’s packed with all natural ingredients and that real meat was used as the number 1 ingredient as well as tons of natural animal fats and oils throughout the list along with tons of vitamins and minerals. It’s all hypoallergenic so it’s great for dogs with any kind of skin or tummy sensitivity. It comes in small, easy to eat pellets that dogs of any size can comfortably chew.Since being on the diet, my dogs coats have shown more luster and shine, and they have markedly more energy and stamina when going for walks or trips out to potty (which are regular now!). The added vitamins and proteins have been great for their muscles and bones, and I will definitely be continuing to use this diet for both of my dogs! Highly recommend!

Salmon kibble and treats for dogs prone to allergies and sensitive skin
My vet recommended we switch our dog from a chicken based grain free food to salmon. We use Nature’s domain from Costco and our dog is lucky enough to supplement her diet with a lot of salmon skin from my husband’s fishing trips to Alaska. However, we haven’t seen a salmon based treat like this. (I plan to use these kibbles as treats)Well, my dog went beserk when I opened this package. She must have liked the smell! I put this in a slow feeding chew toy and she rolled it all around the house until she got every little bit out. Since my boxer pitty mix has sensitive skin and is prone to allergies, I feel better about the recent changes in her diet and focusing more on salmon based food. This is nutrient packed and she loves the taste.

Our doodle loved it!
Our golden doodle is only 2 years old but we’ve had trouble finding a dry kibble that she likes (she is picky!) with the nutritional requirements we like (she has a sensitive tummy). But, this Davinci Dog 100C Hypoallergenic Fresh Salmon Dog Food has fulfilled both of our desires. Our girl gobbled this food up and looked forward to every meal. The size of the kibble is a smaller than she is used to, but she ate it slowly and had no problems digesting it. We’ve also noticed her ‘hot spots’ that were so itchy have really calmed down since she finished her 1st bag of Da Vinci. I have never had a hypoallergenic dog food before, but I sure am glad we found this one. Priced at about $23 it is pricey. However, because these are very high quality ingredients that are hypoallergenic – it’s worth it to us.
