Our Story
It all began in 1994, with our rescue white lab, Winston, who was diagnosed with arthritis and hip dysplasia. Several vets recommended putting him down, but this was never an option for us.
We began researching alternative medicine while working with Dr. Pedro Rivera, a renowned holistic veterinarian.
After several months, we developed a natural joint formula that gave Winston a second chance at life. Winston went on to enjoy 10 long years of playing with his brothers.
We soon found others who wanted only the best for their pets as well—and that’s when NaturVet was born.
Who are we?
We’re NaturVet! One of the longest-operating and top-trusted pet supplement providers in the nation.
What do we do?

Excellent product for older dogs with Anxiety, dementia and/or sundowners
Our 10 yr old male border collie started to breath heavily in the evening time and could not get comfortable. Jumping on our bed several times and whining. Checked for injuries or other, he was fine. Vet said could be doggy anxiety and/or dementia. I read it could also be sundowning. Vet recommended Trazodone for anxiety at night which we did, it seemed to work. In the mean time we looked for a more natural option and found this product. Oh my gosh, it works great. We do a couple of sprays in all the areas he may lay and watch him transform from a heavy breathing, whining, unable to get comfortable doggy to a normal breathing, relaxed deep sleeper for the night. Thus far we really like this product. It smells great and I would think it has health benefits for our pup. It absolutely works on his anxiety, possible doggy dementia or sundowning.

Anxiety relief for you and your pup
This is just what my puppies needed, now I give them one every time they start acting crazy. Which is not too often, but it does help them to sleep and also helps them to calm down, especially as puppies. They are now a year old. And they don’t cry or bark at the fireworks or loud noises. They love the taste and they’re very soft. Worth every single penny when you have three puppies.🐾

Great for senior dogs
High anxiety senior dog. After a month of use they seem to work good. A lot more calm in his crate. If we are going to have a late day out we will give a second dose later in day. Other wise the first dose in am works perfect!

Helped calm my dog during storms and stressful moments
These calming chews have been really helpful for my dog, especially during thunderstorms and fireworks. She usually gets anxious and paces around, but after giving her one, she’s noticeably more relaxed and comfortable. I like that they’re soft and easy to chew, no struggle getting her to eat them since she actually likes the bacon and chicken flavor. The texture feels fresh, not dry or crumbly, and the jar keeps them sealed well. I also like that they don’t have a strong smell like some supplements do. They’ve become part of our routine before vet visits or long car rides, and they make those situations a lot easier for both of us.

Calming dog treats
These work great for my son’s two pit bulls, calming but not overly so.

Using for separation anxiety
My dog has developed separation anxiety so looking for an alternative to sedatives from the vet. We tried these as an alternative to trazadone. Obviously as a supplement it is nowhere close to what medication will provide, but he does seem a bit calmer when he’s left at home. When we watch him on the monitor, he’s not pacing as much any more and doesn’t bark as much when taking nothing, so it does help a bit. In comparison, with actual medication he was mostly napping when we were gone. So these calming treats won’t work miracles, but does offer something. He eats these without any fuss, so must taste pretty good.

They Work Really Great But It Depends On The Dog
I got these melatonin treats because we just moved my fiance’s 5-year-old Shiba Inu into our house since my fiance moved in a month or two ago. We noticed that he was having a lot of trouble adjusting to sleeping in a new place, and would pace around the room and bark or cry for hours at night until he tuckered himself out. After two or three days, we realized he definitely had some anxiety related issues. He’s about 25 pounds, so I’ve started the routine of giving him two of these treats at night right before bed. He really seems to like the taste and gets excited to eat them.As long as you give them to your dog after setting up the bedtime routine (we take them on their nightly walk, get into the room with the dogs, turn off the lights, change into PJS, etc), they work really effectively. He has been sleeping super well, and has been a lot calmer. He’s even been sleeping in his little dog bed, which he was ignoring before. It’s been a huge relief for us!However, I was also giving one treat to my 8-10 pound Chorkie (Chihuahua/Yorkie), who has been struggling with anxiety since getting a new brother (and also, in general, haha), and he really wasn’t a fan of the taste (I kinda had to make him eat one, gently). Also, whilst he did go to sleep, I woke up in the morning to find that he had had pooped a LOT in the hallway of our master bedroom between our closets. It had clearly given him a stomachache, so we discontinued giving them to him after that and made sure to give him some flavorless pedialyte in his water the next day per the vet’s recommendation. He’s fine now, but I spoke to my aunt who has a small Dachshund about it the next week and she told me she tried a similar melatonin treat for her dog and had the same issue. I think dogs with sensitive tummies or certain breeds may not benefit from these treats, though it’s certainly worth a try because my Shiba Inu benefitted a LOT from these! So overall I give these treats an 8/10- very herbal scent that’s not horrible and they definitely work; just make sure that your dog has the right stomach for them.

I highly recomend. I have tried others but this one has been the best by far. Been using this for the last 5 years. I have a chi/Jack and they help her so much with anxiety and stress.

Very subtle effect, but they do seem to take the edge off. We use them occasionally to calm his anxiety.
