Rough Start, but ended up a Winner!!
This is the FOURTH ‘self cleaning litter box’s I’ve tried, and this one’s the winner. Initial rough start, but Tech Support (via text, best route) sorted that. What’s Great:1) Open Top plus Good size: Much safer, especially for skittish cats; or done-based / ‘spin-based’ options = controversial cat safety (Google it)2) Double Pass ‘Raking’: Raking is better than the ‘dome based spin’ ones (which basically sift clumps & put into bin. As we all know, the moister clumps will stick). Raking systems are better & Purrtek Light will do a second pass to dislodge & dump any clumps that it ‘skewered’ on the 1st pass.2) Nice Size dump bin, easy to maneuver for cleaning.3) Infrared Sensors Good, including on raking component i.e. raking will stop if it detects motion (works well)4) Extremwly quiet & slow – which is very good! My meek/skittish kittens are not afraid of it at all!5) Raking prongs are silicone covered except for tips, nice touch.6)East to take apart & clean plus option to add a cover (not my preference, open top is safest as ‘last resort / cat can jump out’ optionThe Not-So-Good (but not enough to remove a star):1) The app for the Purrtek Light vs the newer dome/spinner models is neglected a bit. Hello, some of the menu options are in Chinese (!!) Once I worked with Support I got it to work for exactly what I need. But would love to see the same level of sophistication for the app across all Petcove models, especially since this open top raking system is FAR superior to the 3 others I’ve tried.Overall, HIGHLY recommend this & I hope it holds up over the long term.

Looks good and does the job!
This auto littler box is wonderful. It does like it is supposed to do. All I have to do is pick up the bag with the cats deposits and throw it away; and the carbon filters do hold down the odor. The only problem I have is that it is a little too short for my cats. One is 9 lbs and the other is 11+. If they don’t do their business outside of the litter area, it works fine. Even so, the cleaning is not bad as most deposits (even dried) wipe right off. This is the first self-cleaning box I have had and I am definitely keeping it. Easy change out of the old bag and replace with a new one. Saves me time and keeps them happy!!!

Very quiet, cleans OK if your cat will use it
I’m not quite sure what to think. I got this because it reminds me of the Littermaid boxes I used to have. My cats are more used to open type boxes and getting into a giant circular drum would not be the best choice for them or my finances. I thought these cleaned a little more thoroughly than this one because I think the tines in the fork were a little bit closer together in the Littermaid . I liked that this one has options for timed cleaning as some litter may take longer than others to clump properly. I use corn world’s best cat litter multi cat. I went from the lowest setting to 5 minutes then eventually to 10 minutes because I think it clumps better with the additional time. My one cat that is fascinated with anything moving including my printer, uses this box but my other cat will not so I am still scooping! It says cats up to 33 pounds but my Maine Coon is 21 lbs and would not fit comfortably in there even though the other similar box for sale is even smaller on the inside litter area. So now instead of two I have three litter boxes!!! At least I know one is always mostly clean but that doesn’t help me with hoping I could travel for a few days without worrying. Even at the max level the amount of litter in the box is not a lot. My neighbors and people I know don’t mind feeding but nobody wants to touch the litter box. It is extremely quiet, so that’s a positive. All in all, I’m kind of back to where I was in the beginning (minus a couple of hundred dollars and extra bags , a new XL mat and a stepstool to get into the box). I miss the old Littermate ramp! This one they have to step on the outside of the litter compartment to get in. If you have a small -medium size cat that would use something like this it might be worth it. I feel too invested financially now to send back but with only one out of two cats seeming to be able to use it it defeats the purpose for me.

A good device with potential for improvements
Overall I like the litter box, good price, easy to clean, and simple design. We have a very very picky cat that refused to use the other two litter robots, but he was able to accept this box right away given the very open top design, which is a huge plus.We do have a couple of issues with the box: 1. The clay litter will stick and form a paste on the bottom of the box and form a muddy puddle if the litter is too low, or get stuck if litter is too high, we use fine grain corn litter fixed the sticky issue 2. The app has room for improvement: I wish it report the time stamp when my cats visit the box, I wish it push a message to me when the box get stuck at error mode so I can go fix the stuck situation, I wish it tells me when waste bin is full.

Awesome cat box!
The best auto scooping cat box I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned so many over my lifetime of having cats. The collection box is big, the bags super easy to change out, my cats like it and use it. It’s super quiet and scoops well as long as you make sure to use tight clumping litter.Cons: it’s best to use their bags. I have used just plastic grocery type bags in the past with different brands of other litter boxes. If the collection box gets full, it gets pretty stinky.
