After installing, press and hold the “Settings” button for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi icon blinks, then connect to your 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz network.Our built-in safety system protects your cat during cleaning. If sensors detect your cat in the “danger zone” while the arm is retracting, the motion pauses immediately. During the forward scooping cycle, the arm continues but gently encourages your cat to exit—preventing prolonged stays without risking injury.

What should I do when I first receive the litter box?

Two internal zip ties secure the unit for transit. Follow the instruction card and cut the ties before first use. If the battery indicator is red, plug in the unit; when the power light is green it will operate normally.

What type of cat litter should I use with this self-cleaning litter box?

A trial bag is included. Use small-particle clumping litter (bentonite, tofu, mineral). Do NOT use long-pellet, crystal, or non-clumping litter. The waste bin has two sections: used litter and a recyclable clean-litter section.

How do I connect the litter box to WiFi and set up the app?

Download the Tuya app and follow setup. Unit supports 2.4GHz & 5GHz Wi-Fi; make sure your phone and unit use the same band (e.g., both 2.4GHz). Set a 20-minute delayed clean for optimal clumping.

Is the litter box safe for my cat to use?

Yes. Gravity and dual infrared sensors ensure cleaning starts only after your cat exits. In forward scooping, the arm gently nudges a detected cat out. During backward recycling the unit stops if a cat is detected and resumes once the area is clear.
